My Luxury Hotel

I looked for a mid range hotel in downtown of Secunderabad-Hyderabad twin cities for 3 day 2 nights. I am quite familiarity with cities and booked Hotel Taj Mahal at Patny and stayed in A/C Delex room in the third floor. The hotel had remodeled the hotel and it has a spacious bath and rest room my rating is 2/5 . Moderately furnished room and cleanliness is rated at 3 /5 . The approach to room is dull and poorly maintenaned rating is 2/5 . Good restaurant and pure vegetarian rated 3.5/5 in my assessment. Location is in a busy and centrally located with 4/5 rating. Finally to my disappointment the bedding is infested with bed bugs causing sleepless nights. I had alerted the staff about bed bugs menace. Hope management is serious about my feedback. Over all rating is 2.5 to 3 /5.

Good location close to the beach and sights within walking distance. Good size rooms and nice shower; shame they forgot to give us hand towels and a bath mat. Good breakfast. Carpets in the hallways need replacing though. Generally a bit more cleaning needed too.

Stayed at My Hotel as part of a G Adventures Highlights of Jordan trip. Out of all the hotels in Jordan (as well as Egypt and Turkey), this was the first one where the boiled eggs at breakfast, were actually done using cold water after they'd boiled for the appropriate time. They were nicely also slightly runny yolk wise which was a nice change from the grey solid ones every other hotel had. Also had watermelon at breakfast. Besides breakfast the rooms were available when we got there in the morning so we could change before going snorkeling. Other hotels in this part of the world seem to just stick to 2 or 3pm checking in, even though rooms are clearly available and the hotels are almost empty so this was a refreshing change. Bed was really comfortable, shower/bathroom was really good.

Tired furnishings and the electrics would benefit from a check. TV didn't work from its remote. Reported to reception which resulted in no action. So, I tried swapping in the working aircon remote batteries but that didn't solve the problem. Using the TV emergency buttons revealed there were only a few channels in local language. A broken hinge allowed the lid to fall off the kettle as soon as I picked it up and the Kettle electric connection was very sensitive to its orientation on the base. Limited choice for breakfast compared to other G-Adventures hotels. View from room was side of next door hotel. For me it was just about ok for a night or two but I wouldn't want a week there.

this place will never be my Hotel again. If it would not have been for the good location and the fact that it was paid already we would have left the place. The staff especially at the reception - is totally unmotivated and uninterested in doing their job. Coming into the Hotel we were not recognized at any time. You do not feel like a guest you feel like a burden. - Location is good and in walking distance to several attraction - Rooms are clean - broken glas door not taken care of, watch did. not work but room service did not pay any attention - rooftop pool was nice with a great view for the bar we had to get down to the reception to find someone to serve us there - breakfast was good but not continental as described - reception not aceptable at all!!!
