My husband and I had such a great memorable time at the Pierhouse Hotel, celebrating our wedding anniversary :) All the staffs have been so amazing and could’ve done better with their hospitality! We were greeted and provided with a room with sea view which was a very nice surprise! Followed by an absolutely beautiful evening meal, fresh fish with lovely fruit tarts to finish off. Had a wonderful sleep and enjoyed our leisurely breakfast before departure. I would just like to thanks the staff(including the cleaning staff who we met during check out) for their smiles and their hospitality and please keep up your amazing work! This place is no doubt one of the best hospitality in Scotland!

The Pier House Hotel was an absolute dream. Our four-night stay is one we’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by David, who made us feel truly special—nothing was ever too much trouble. Chef Michael creates the most incredible dishes (his apple tart is unforgettable!), and every single member of the team—from the restaurant and bar staff to the housekeeping team—was fantastic. Every detail is so thoughtfully taken care of, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is one of genuine warmth and happiness. The setting itself is breathtaking, surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, and every meal we enjoyed was exceptional. This was a fantastic experience for my husband’s birthday from start to finish, and we can’t wait to return. A heartfelt thank you to David, Michael, and the entire team for making our stay unforgettable. We are so grateful to all the staff for their kindness, care, and outstanding service. Thank you to everyone making us feel so welcome and looked after.

The location of the hotel is great, right by Loch Linnie. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are adequate with comfy beds. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality but limited choice of anything that wasn’t from the sea. It was also very expensive. For example - £38 for a small piece of sole and side dishes extra ! £75 for a lobster fish pie to share and no vegetables ! Surely vegetables and potatoes should be included in the prices.

The location of the hotel in Port Appin is exquisite with fantastic sea views .The restaurant is excellent and their service is outstanding and very welcoming.The bedrooms are very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back again.

What a great situation, super staff, lovely ambience...all very friendly and relaxed. One couple arrived for dinner but hadn't booked and we watched while the kindest waiter made up a table outside, set up an umbrella and lit a wood burner for them..above and beyond!!! Our only complaint was that the lobster and fish pie just tasted of cream and,potatoes. Otherwise perfect.

A truly wonderful 2 days spent here, lovely hotel, room with beautiful views (even in the mist) staff and food excellent. We enjoyed a walk around the ‘loop’ and took the ferry to Lismore, with another leisurely walk. The local -expletive from Lismore were in the hotel for music and dancing Friday afternoon and that was fabulous to see nd hear.
