First time here in Crete and the hotel is located in a quiet location surrounded by mountain views and a view of the coastal bay. It is up a slight hill about 10 min walk from the small coastal village of Almyrida. Plenty of Tavernas,a bakery, supermarket, gift shops and icecream parlour. There is a car hire/motorbike shop and we ourselves hired a quad bike. Wished I had hired a car and could've seen more of the island.Chania is definitely worth a visit. The hotel itself has had mixed reviews,we found it "adequate" for my wife and me. Yes the hotel is a little bit shoddy in places but don't let that put you off, we got what we paid for, the food was plentiful, lots of local dishes, the Feta is lush. The staff work hard and we noticed this, they are there ALL DAY! Drinks at dinner are extra and you can also purchase drinks, light snacks from reception. There is also a pool bar which serves alcohol. Sadly you cannot get a coffee at/after dinner? I would reccommend the hotel for the scenery and budget conscious. Thank-you to the lovely KIKI ❤️

The experience in the hotel was excellent. The room with balcony had a beautiful view of the beach and mountain. The breakfast and the dinner was every day varieted and the employees were very friendly specifically KIKI, she was very nice and payed attention to us. I recommend to stay in this hotel.

Went for a week at this hotel on an all inclusive package. The room was basic and a little shabby in places and the bathroom was tired and the shower wouldn't regulate the temperature. Initially I thought the cleanliness was ok until I spotted a full siz cockroach crawling across the floor of our room. The food was basic and often cold but worse of all my wife had chicken one night that was hard and tasted off, she ended up being very ill which ruined her holiday. When I complained to an Australian woman at reception it was total denial, no empathy or kindness just hard nosed denial. Later that evening the manager offered to let us stay longer in our room as my wife was sick but the Australian receptionist put a kybosh on that so my wife has to spend 4 and a half hours on a sun lounger outside before our transport arrived. Resort is nice and the bay is stunning And the view from the hotel is stunning but the general amenities are old tired and in some places dangerous like open bulb holder on a walkway ready for a child to stick there finger in and be electrocuted. And a lot of the outside walkway lights weren't working. I also spotted some bad trip hazards around the site so watch out! Overall experience was rubbish and you could do a lot better going somewhere else.

Such a lovely place. It's very basic but still very good value. I don't understand anyone criticising. If you want champagne on a lambrini budget this is not the place for you. Grounds very clean and tidy, staff friendly. Rooms comfortable and pool was great. Never an issue getting a sun lounger and we went in school summer holidays. It was a very peaceful chilled out place. The breakfast was really nice. I would definitely go back.

My friend and I had lovely stay at Almyrida Village. Kiki and her team and the staff were excellent, especially Jeko in the bar and Kiki herself, who was amazing, they were all friendly, helpful and hardworking during our stay. The food was always tasty and plentiful. The pool and area, with the views was attractive. Almyrida is a lovely seaside village within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The area has very good public trastransportation to Chania and Rethymno, which is definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately, there are many areas around the hotel which need attention. The bedrooms are basic but clean and I had a wonderful view. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Crete

Almyrida village and water park has its pros and cons, which I’ll reiterate as they’ve been said by others. Pro’s - beautiful scenery, large pool, very sweet and helpful staff and nice traditional home cooked Greek food. (I think if you’re a fussy eater, you will struggle with the food here as it’s a lot of rice, stuffed veggies and meat mainly - I’d suggest you go room only) Con’s - The pool is lovely and big, but my child as well as one or two others had hurt their legs and feet by the poorly maintained plastic pool outskirts, and the tiles from the bottom of the pool constantly coming away. The bar is also super selective with drinks and doesn’t open until 10.30-11am (which is a pain when you’re all inclusive and breakfast stops at 10am) Unfortunately we wouldn’t come back to the hotel because of these reasons, if you do decide to go I suggest saving your money and eating out at some restaurants. Psoros and Don Niko’s are our firm favourites for dinner! Holiday September 2025
