We've just spend 13 days here at the Lava Hotel with friends. The rooms were clean and somewhat spacious but the cleaners were always very accommodating. Overall the staff were lovely and were always very pleasant to deal with particularly the front house staff. Our accommodation costs included breakfast which was the only downfall as every only 1 or 2 dishes were changed but the rest were the same. The brekky staff lacked initiative and customers service here as a couple of mornings there were guests standing waiting on plates and cutleries and having telling staff to refill food on the buffet. For a business Hotel these are the details that and services that the ground staff should be all over it. We also had the building alarm activated so loud one morning around 5am. The communication by staff here was terrible as guests were not directly or well informed as to Fire procedures. We would stay here again but it wouldn't be for as long as what we did on this trip.

Stay here for 7 days with my colleagues for business. We came in with a great warm welcome from the staff. Our room was nice clean and cool I'm mostly the the bed was so comfortable. and the next day we meet the great lovely Elevita. That showed us around the hotel and conference room for our event and introduce us to one of the team leader that look after us BT. my team was so thankful when ever they need help he was there and this guy he can do anything up to Events, Restaurant, IT, even fontdesk. He does it all thank you again BT for your service. Definitely recommended here for business even for vacation here at LAVA HOTEL ....

We just completed our 7 night stay at the Lava Hotel, this is our first time in Samoa. When we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks and were a bit early for our rooms but didn’t have to wait long as we allowed to check in a bit early. The Hotel is only about 7 years olds so everything is near new clean and tidy. The rooms are set out well with modern tvs plus most channels. The AFL was on free tv so I was happy. The Hotel is located close to town so easy to walk in or 5 tala for a taxi. Our last night was a Thursday so the dancing and fire show was on with bbq buffet night. We spent time dining and drinking at lots of the other hotels and resorts, each have there good and bad points. We did like the resort on the island for the beach and coral access but a bit too busy for us. The Lava has very experienced staff plus it’s a little bit more peaceful to sit and relax. The pool was perfect to cool down and chill on the lounge chairs. Happy to recommend, cheers from Ballarat Australia

The steak tasted off and was not nice but the friend did not have to pay for her steak meal which was good. Chips tasted old and the oka was average.

The lava hotel is excellent. Thank you to the staff for making my stay so wonderful. Special thanks to Caroline for organizing my day trips by taxi. Thank you to Yvonne, food Manager, for ensuring that my meals were gluten free. The hotel and pool are beautiful.

Nice location and very friendly staff. The food was lovely even if the egg was overcooked on the Ceasar salad. The signature cocktail is refreshing and not overly sweet, thank goodness. Hubby had the nachos, and I had the lemon pepper chicken with vege and mash, which we both enjoyed.

Laundry costs $50 tala per load and you can't do it yourself so you have to accept that you will lose items of clothing and gain random other people's washing.
The location is great.
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.
The price was fairly reasonable.
There is a bit of mould in the bathrooms.
The fire alarm went off twice during our week long stay for false alarms.
The food and drink is all good.
