This is really a guest-house in a suburban neighbourhood. It is decorated in an old-fashioned style. There are six guest rooms. The street outside is quiet. We were given a choice of two rooms. Room 6 is on the top floor, with a pitched ceiling and exposed rafters, up a very steep, twisting set of narrow stairs. It is a good size with a cast iron stove and two armchairs. It has a fridge. However, there is limited shelf and wardrobe space. The bathroom is spotlessly clean. The shower is in the bath. It took a couple of days to get the hang of getting out of the bath safely. Many of the rooms, possibly all of them, have access to a roof terrace, some private and some shared. There is parking around the back, though it may get a little muddy when it rains. If you have heavy luggage, best to park on the street first. Bars and restaurants are a short walk away. The Victorian vibe is fading a little. There is very little sound-proofing. When the guests next door, in room 5, used the bathroom in the morning, that was our sleep over. Each morning you get a text from Janna asking if you need the room to be cleaned or fresh towels or other supplies replenished. This was a first for us.
