This little stand-alone private studio has had a few different uses over the years-workshop, wine tasting room, music room-but we finally decided it is just too special to leave it empty. So we added a bathroom, sleep area, refrigerator, sink, TV, internet, a little breakfast/eating bar, and just recently, a new hot tub so you can sip your morning drink while enjoying the mountain views. It has become a comfy place for our guests when they come to visit. A view of the Cascades mountain range to the east, and the pond and pastures next to us are all right outside the window. We are a small farm with animals and bees on the property and we are tucked away from busy streets. We're conveniently located minutes to airports, parks, restaurants, casinos, lakes, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, and multiple clinics, so if you need entertainment or services they are all close by. There is a large circular drive with ample parking. We can't wait for you to experience this tiny treehouse mill! Our property has been featured by Outside Magazine as a number #1 destination in WA! Sunrise brings rays of light over Mt Pilchuck. You may see deer, squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, and bald eagles throughout the day. As night falls listen to the distant calls of coyote or spot a curious raccoon, opossum or owl. A gentle seasonal stream turns the fully restored waterwheel adding to the overall serenity.Enter the mill through the large French doors where you will find a luxury bedside soaking tub and high end full size Murphy bed. Soaring ceilings give the mill an open feel. At the back of the space there is a kitchenette with everything you need to prepare a simple meal along with a table and stools custom made from wine barrels. There is a private toilet room with an ingenious incinerating toilet and pedestal sink. Upstairs you will find a cozy loft which is the perfect space to cozy up with a loved one and review the day's photos or snuggle up with a book. A covered cedar deck graces the front side of the building with plenty of room for seating and a BBQ. A large cedar tree pushes up next to the deck and sometimes provides home to many species of birds creating the perfect soundtrack for relaxing. There is a private hot tub near the fire-pit which is a wonderful place to take in nature! Our lot contains 2 treehouses and the main estate home. The treehouses can not be seen from each other. FAQs:Are there hiking trails in the area? YES. Some of the best hiking in the state can be found just a short drive away! We can send you a list of our favorite hikes and secret spots for you to explore.Are late arrivals okay?YES. In fact night time arrivals are a real treat because the boardwalk to the treehouse and grounds are well lit. We say it's very "romantical."We are celebrating a special occasion. We can make the payment arrangement easy for your via Airbnb!What is the approximate size of the treehouse?Interior space is approximately 200 sq ft and there is an additional 50 sq ft covered deck.The space says it sleeps 3 but I only see one bed? YES. We say three are allowed because we had a lot of guests request to bring a little camper with. Kids are welcome but please bring sleeping bags or other arrangements for their bedding. The upper yard a shared common area with the other treehouses and estate. Deer ridge is a family friendly place so you may hear families playing in the common yard space. We do not allow loud outdoor music, parties, outdoor drinking and other things that would take away from the serenity of this peaceful place.Guests will have free parking using the private driveway built just for the mill. Larger vehicles such as campers or small RVs may use our large circular driveway.We are about 43 miles north east of Downtown Seattle. We are 15 miles from Everett and the Puget Sound. Here you can fish, whale watch, enjoy many restaurants, or drop down into Mukilteo and catch a Ferry to Whidbey Island. We are just 6 miles from lake fishing and other water activities at Lake Roesiger. A 20 minute drive brings you to downtown Snohomish, with its world-famous antique stores and microbreweries on every corner. This is a romantic small-town with lots of charm. During the day, browse quaint shops and enjoy lunch at one of the great local restaurants. Have a night out and enjoy some great beer and grub at any of the breweries, including Lost Canoe Brewing, Haywire Brewing, and Sound to Summit brewing and the Tap House.Feel like an adventure? One of our favorites is about 35 minutes away called Wallace Falls which is a 2 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall. Blue Boy Golf Course is 14 miles away. High Trek Adventures & Zipline Park is 22 miles.You will need a car to get around. There is a nice paved bike trail about 6 miles away (Centennial Trail). Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, SUVs, and trucks.Prior to check in you will be given the keyless entry code. From the time you arrive, we will completely respect your privacy and leave you alone to enjoy your experience. We have a local manager ready to help if needed. Although technically not supported by trees (nicer to the trees) you are about 15 feet above ground at the front and 10 ft at the back. This puts you up in the tree canopy with the birds.No ladders are required other than for the loft. You are welcome to stroll the grounds. It is quite and peaceful but you may hear one of our cars depart or arrive throughout the day. At times you may hear seasonal yard maintenance. Some of the grounds are in view of the main home. Sometimes the surrounding land is used for dirt bikes so you may hear that in the distance. It's rare but we want to tell you it's possible. The grounds offer incredible views and are lit at night. We are high up on a hill and the star gazing from the yard can be quite something on a clear night. Upon pulling up to the electric gated driveway where you'll be greeted by the lovely manicured yard with blueberry bushes, ferns, mature rhodies, azaleas, and gorgeous Magnolias that profusely bloom each spring. Your car will be secured inside the fully fence yard in the private parking spot in front of the Carriage House garage door. The covered patio to the right of the house will lead you to the secured side entrance door into the finished garage.
