Kozy Korner is a quiet place to rest and relax when traveling. It sleeps 2 comfortably. Nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Midpines, California. Approximately 30 minutes from Arch Rock entrance.Easy access from Highway 140 the all year highway that follows the Wild and Scenic Merced River Canyon. 7 miles east of the historic town of Mariposa which is home to the California Mining and Mineral Museum. Also home to the Oldest Courthouse still operating west of the Mississippi. On many weekends throughout the year are scheduled special events in Mariposa. Access to the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce website will have current information. The key to the apartment is in a lock box by the entry door in the alcove. I will send the code close to your arrival when you make your reservation. Enjoy a newly renovated historic motel studio located in a quiet corner right off of the historic Mariposa downtown strip. We're 40 miles to Yosemite Valley, the beautiful drive takes only an hour, and only steps away from the best shops and restaurants in town! This studio has everything you need after a day of exploring with an amazing King sized bed, smart TV with streaming Apps, convenient and functional kitchenette, spacious bathroom, beautifully tiled HOT shower, & IG worthy vintage charm!The spaceThis is a one bedroom studio located upstairs in our historic boutique hotel building right off of the downtown Mariposa strip. Our brand is "Tourist Homes", just like the sign advertised to the public at it's original opening in 1938! Back then the rooms had wood fired cookstoves, radiator (steam) heaters, and the newest amenity around, a shower instead of a tub! We only wish we had the original log book of guests from then... could it be possible that Teddy Roosevelt stayed during his trip to Yosemite? Or maybe Ansel Adams? Hey, we can dream, right? ;-)Now the studio beckons you with charms from past... like the hardwood floors we found under the carpet, speakeasy style peek window on the door, the same shower space (newly redone), and vintage kitchen cabinetry. We have a shared outdoor patio with a fire pit and cozy seating if you would like to mingle with other guests under the stars (& the 75 year old holly tree!)Other things to note Pet Policy: pets are permitted with our pet fee.
