Province of Trapani Apartments

This was a lovely resort with sea views. The common areas are plentiful and spacious with many locations to relax and take in the scenery. The pool area was very nice. Breakfast was good with hot and cold options. We had dinner one evening at the resort and enjoyed it. The rooms were quite large and comfortable. The bathroom was on the smaller side but adequate.

· I like everything modern and elegant, and this hotel certainly is. The highlight of this resort is the spa but we were not there for this package, so I honestly do not know what it looks like. I heard it's great and relaxing! In some ways, the hotel is still new (2021 built) so the last floor (5th) was still not available and it will be a piano bar soon to open. It was not a big deal for my husband and me. The beach is the reason I travel to Sicily in general and to see family. The only pool they have is nice, but we used it scarcely. I wish they had a separate pool for children as they take over and I rather not use it. The view from our balcony was lovely. We spent a lot of time out in the nearby town of Castellammare del Golfo versus Alcamo Marina where the hotel is located as we had done on previous trips. The breakfast served downstairs (basement) was excellent and all the staff and personnel (front desk, barista, servers/attendants at the restaurants and breakfast area were polite and kind, as well as the shuttle driver when we used it once to reach the beach across the hotel. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Mini fridge well stacked but $$. Parking was not an issue for our rental car. At night, it was noticeably quiet, unlike other hotels and resorts. Shuttle service to the beach and sister hotel nearby is available free of charge. Disliked · It is much smaller than I imagined it. I visited the previous summer a huge and real resort style at another location in Sicily, so I would not call la Battigia a ”resort” as it is a bit misleading; it's a genuinely nice and beautiful hotel with a lovely spa. The fancy look hides some ”cheap” construction material where the builder may have cut some corners as happens in many places worldwide; however, whatever maintenance issue we experienced, it was addressed efficiently and expeditiously. One side of the door frame detached itself as we entered the room on one occasion, luckily, maintenance fixed it rapidly. The area surrounding the beach is not clean and needs some revamping. Overall, the place is a bit pricy for what is offered, and the location stands out as the only modern construction in the middle of old buildings. It's kind of weird. The only restaurant on site was expensive, and we preferred to use it only once and eat out. There's an underpass (shortcut) to reach the beach and lido of the hotel but we chose not to venture, plus, we had a car after all. Some of the most common amenities were not in the room: an ironing board and iron (had to ask for one) and the espresso coffee machine or plain old coffee machine is only available in certain rooms, most have a tea kettle. For coffee and espresso drinkers, this is a negative.

We found this to be an exceptionally pleasant hotel, in all respects. It is situated in a quiet corner with n a piazza in the historic center of Marsala, a beautiful, old building elevated with great taste to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are cozy; the bathrooms are clean; the beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast room and bar are elegant and the food at the breakfast buffet was fresh, varied and ample. Thank you Hotel Carmine!

A fabulous hotel. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was a nice size, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choice. Staff were happy and want to help you. They gave us some ideas for different types of restaurants, one that we went to was a pizza restaurant, it was the best pizza I have ever eaten! The hotel is centrally located to the port and the beaches, right in the middle of the roads to take you to the shops. It is quiet with a large car park (payable) and a garden type piazza. There is a fabulous bakery/cafe attached to the building. I would definitely stay again. Do check your rooms though as this is a converted hotel from a very old building so each room is slightly different in shape and size.

Amazing experience, beautiful hotel, very good treatment the rooms were always cleaned with extra care, the place was always in perfect condition. Location was perfect, 10 seconds from the best streets and 5 min walk from the sea, but also quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was great. Special appreciation for the girls on the front, especially Cristina. They were amazing all trip, could not recommend this place any higher. Thank you for having us.

Super mega big bed, simply divine. Big room, there was a refrigerator. Downstairs in the lobby of the hotel you can buy some snacks, also warm ones, which you can heat right there in the microwave oven. The reception staff was very responsive, I came to find it, I wanted to put my bags, but she offered to give me another room, because mine wasn't ready yet. I was so happy because I was tired. The hotel is next to the station. The room was quiet, but I could barely hear the neighbors shouting because they were cursing very loudly. I had also ordered a taxi to the airport, which was organized by the hotel, and a nice smelling taxi arrived.

The room was very beautiful, wide and clean with sea view. The hotel has a great location. A walk you can reach the country, but the sea is not far away.

Very very helpful staff members, the service was excellent, cleanliness was 10/10. It was my wife’s birthday and had not been able to arrange anything so requested hotel and they managed to bake a cake within a couple hours and served at midnight. I cannot thank them enough

Before we even checked in, we found Historico to be very helpful when we emailed them with questions. If you have a late flight coming in to Trapani-Birgi Airport, Historico can arrange a 30 euro taxi for you to remove the hassle of getting the bus. The area the hotel is situated in is beautiful and feels very safe. We arrived at around 11PM, and the front doors were open. This is unusual at this time, but we soon realised that the staff member at the desk, Filippo, was waiting inside to welcome us. It can be a little difficult in Italy for travellers to find their hotels, so we really appreciated this, especially given the late hour. Filippo then gave us excellent advice on where to eat, what to see, which bus to take and more. At the end of our trip, he even offered to store our luggage until we returned for it. This allowed us to visit Erice, which we found stunning. The room itself is jaw-dropping. The ceilings are about 20 feet high, the room is very spacious with a huge bed and beautiful bathroom. There’s even a balcony. Considering the Historico’s low prices, the room and service completely blew us away. We paid average prices for a 5-star experience, and we couldn’t be happier.
