We like this hotel because it’s close to the beach, it’s very clean and the room is big with comfortable beds. The employees are nice and attentive and always so helpful. The only issue I have here is the breakfast, not enough choices for food, coffee and juices are not good.

Primeiro, atendimento de recepcionista da entrada deixou a desejar, atendimento pessoa do café ok, o quarto que ficamos, ao lado de uma obra, barulho o dia todo,o que vemos nas fotos, quando chega no local banheiros e quartos não atendem as expectativas, fomos alocados em outro quarto para compensar o desconforto, outro detalhe, por que fechar a piscina as 20hs, queria tomar uma banho para relaxar e conversar, a piscina fechada, as tvs do quarto sem wifi muito antigas, o Wi-Fi em todo hotel sinal péssimo, o botão não perturbe do nosso quarto, estava com defeito e todo dia as camareiras batiam nos acordando, não era trocado lencol, elas não variam o quarto, ou seja serviço de quarto deixou muito a desejar, minha experiência não foi agradável no hotel infelizmente. Necessário dar treinamento para cidade de João Pessoa de como atender de maneira cordial e educada os turistas que são seus clientes.

This hotel is located in a nice area, only two streets behind the beach and near to great restaurants, cafés, backeries and supermarkets. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are polite and friendly. Rômulo received us at reception with a warm welcome and was always very helpful. The breakfast is good. We were served by a very attentive staff. Neto is a fantastic waiter lovely and helpful. He provided lactose free milk for me during all my stay, with great care. At restaurant you will meet Israel, a very polite attentive waiter. Don't miss the great pineapple cocktails prepared by the bartender Jonas. The menu in the restaurant is good, with many options of really tastey dishes. Unfortunately there weren't many options for fruit juices usually available in Brazil, only lemon and orange. It was the same in regard to cocktails too, the state is rich in many exotic fruits such as cajá, siriguela, goiaba, etc. Overall we can highly recommend this great hotel. Thanks to all the staff. We will back again.

Centenas de leitores do Trip (onde sou seu Avaliador top, no DF, com 5 mil avaliações e cinco milhões de leitores!), por saberem da minha naturalidade paraibana me cobram por notícias, mesmo por protestos nossos contra o descaso de todos, quanto ao fechamento e, pior, quanto a inaceitável procrastinação do arrematante quanto a recuperação e a reabertura do icônico Hotel Tambaú. Cada dia é oferecida uma narrativa fantástica. O direito de posse não pode suplantar o interesse público. Muito menos no caso desse hotel, por causa de sua condição de icone da arquitetura hoteleira brasileira, de sua construção em terreno de Marinha, só outorgada para ela servir de deflagradora do então incipiente turismo pessoense, reservando-lhe papel galvanizador e revolucionário nesse processo. È tão verdadeiro seu interesse público, no caso por criar e desenvolver o Turismo de Jampa, então uma desconhecida no turismo nordestino, que o Prefeito Cicero Lucena decretou sua desapropriação, acho que devida a procrastinação de quase 5 anos dos arrematantes Não sabemos porque esse Decreto não foi de pronto implantado, o importante é que agora o Prefeito Cicero Lucena, de forma dura e enfático, reiterou que o Decreto de Desapropriação ainda é válido, que não vai ficar esperando a boa vontade do investidor, que deseja que o Hotel Tambaú seja explorado por grupos nacionais ou estrangeiros, do ramo hoteleiro. It's worth it, especially if you take your laptop to work at home office.

Café da manhã e localização muito bom. Infelizmente deixa a desejar com as toalhas e não tem nenhuma tomada 110 nem transformador para os clientes, falta preparo nesse sentido, recepção não atende o ramal do quarto e ainda tive que escutar que meu equipamento que não é adequado.... isso me deixou bem chateada e por isso minha avaliação caiu muito.

This hotel opened relatively recently (a little more than 2 years ago). Price-wise, this is an upscale hotel for Joao Pessoa (the least expensive room is about R$750 or $150 USD—the most expensive room is R$3170 or $638 USD). The problem is that it just isn't worth it. Just to put it in perspective, you can find hotel rooms in this city for 1/3 of the price that have rooms of comparable size and quality. Let me say that almost all hotel staff are very friendly (but not all), but the level of service and attentiveness does not correlate with the level they purport to provide. The hotel has 185 rooms, so it's not a small place. I came here with my wife to celebrate a wedding anniversary (I won't tell you how many so as not to shock you). Upon entering the reception area, we were offered a glass of water in cheap disposable plastic cups; I suppose this is better than nothing at all, but not by much. Upon entering our room, we noted that the glass shower doors were not completely cleaned. I know it may be a pain in the ass for the chambermaid to get the soap scum off the glass, but for the price, I would expect at least that. In addition, the hotel has a sign in the lavatory that you cannot flush your toilet paper (!). Many hotels in the city have similar notices, but they do not charge as much as Oceana Atlantico Hotel charges. Since this hotel was recently built, you would think the hotel could have constructed a sanitary system that did not require you to keep your poopy paper in a trash can next to your toilet. The most annoying thing that happened was when we went to have our breakfast (which, like in most Brazilian hotels, was included). The buffet was decent, but not even close to the best we have experienced here in this city. You might even say it was modest. Certain breakfast items are prepared to order, and you must order with the waiter—I know this because I went to the open kitchen and the cook said I must ask the waiter (and there was only one waiter in the room). The waiter was busy chit-chatting with other staff as I tried to get his attention. Finally, my wife approached him to request the breakfast dish I wanted and it took forever to be prepared (which is OK if the kitchen was busy), but then I saw him walking around with the plate from table to table with my dish, when he finally remembered our table and then came and chucked the plate in front of me. Of course, the dish was not prepared the way I requested, so I did not even eat it. In summary, I cannot recommend this hotel and I do not think we will be returning, sad to say.

Apart from the main tourist points of João Pessoa, it is located in the city centre in a quite desert place during the night, making it very difficult for those who are not traveling by car. The hotel is well structured, but the lack of cleaning and hygiene in the rooms, corridors and other areas of the hotel has made a very bad experience of a simple night, without counting on the many mosquitoes in the dining room. For a less demanding guest with cleaning, you can even compensate the daily value. However, in my opinion, it is more worth paying a little more day in a hotel/houser near the beach and the main attractions of João Pessoa, with a more moved environment near lanchones, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and clean in their dependences.

O atendimento, as áreas de lazer, a localização e a limpeza são nota 1000!!! As instalações não estavam de acordo com o anuncio, fiz a reserva para 3 pessoas mas no quarto só tinha uma cama de casal, precisei solicitar uma cama auxiliar. Também como fiz a reserva no mesmo dia da hospedagem, meus dados não estavam no sistema do flat, precisei aguardar um pouco para que o atendente pudesse realizar a inclusão manual. Fora esses itens, tudo foi perfeito e com certeza, voltarei mais vezes. Amo a PB e gosto bastante do Golden Flat, já é a segunda vez que fico no mesmo lugar.
