A uniquely personable and good-natured B&B owned and run by Bart & Eva. All five rooms in this beautifully restored late nineteenth century town house are themed to a particular musical genre. I’m not into Icelandic music but I loved the Icelandic studio, a beautiful attic space stretching right across the house reached after climbing many flights of beautifully painted black stairs. The room plus a generous ensuite bathroom was thoughtfully designed, making it a pleasant and peaceful space to spend time in. I especially liked the placing of the bath under the window and the design of the Hans Grohe sink tap. A proper dining table meant we were able to spread out and enjoy an indoor picnic bought from the nearby Humm deli. We were there on a Sunday and treated ourselves to the optional breakfast which is generous, varied and delicious; my croissant was especially good with Eva’s home-made jam. Hearing music played on vinyl on a turntable while we ate breakfast reminded us gently of our teenage years and record shops and buying LPs. A short walk from Antwerp Berchem Station as well as various tram stops, on the edge of the architecturally significant Zurenborg neighbourhood, the location is perfect for exploring Antwerp. We would love to stay here again and see more of Antwerp. Places to stay like this are rare and special.

Wat een geweldige sfeer hangt daar! Hartelijke ontvangst. Toffe kamers met een streepje muziek. Ruim, groen terras in hartje Antwerpen. Zalig comfortabel bed. En daarna bereiden Eva en Baert een heerlijk uitgebreid vers ontbijt. Met stip onze favoriete B&B!

Derde keer Rock Lobster City Lodge en derde keer super tevreden! Rustige, luxueze kamers in een aangepast muzikaal thema, zalig bed, toffe benedenruimte met lekkere drankjes in de frigo. Eva & Bart zijn heerlijke hosts en steeds fijn (muzikaal) bijpraten & (amicaal) van mening verschillen :-) 'all things music'. Daarbovenop ideaal gelegen in een fantastische, niet té drukke buurt met toprestaurants én -pubs op wandelafstand.

Al voor de derde keer gelogeerd in Rock Lobster, hartje Zurenborg, vlakbij de hippe Dageraadplaats. Telkens een top ervaring. Mooie, ruime kamers, voorzien van alle nodige faciliteiten en comfort. Hartelijke ontvangst door Bart en Eva, alsof je een goede vriend bent die even binnenwipt. Het ontbijt is zalig: zeer ruime keuze, aangevuld met een eierbereiding naar keuze, koffie/thee à volonté en last but most certainly not least de zelfgemaakte confituren van Eva. Nothing compears to them!

Prachtige B&B gelegen in Zurenborg, het mooiste plekje in Antwerpen. Bart en Eva waren superhosts en de B&B is op alle vlakken uitstekend en zeer makkelijk bereikbaar. NIET TWIJFELEN!!!

Plek waar we ons thuis voelen. Goed bed, leuke babbels met Bart en Eva, lekker ontbijt. Goed gelegen, dicht bij het Dageraadplein en de Cogels Osylei. We kwamen al 2 keren en komen zeker nog terug. Leuk om na een concert nog wat met Bart te keuvelen.

Van boeking tot afscheid is alles vlot verlopen. Deze muziekthematische bnb laat het plaatje hélemaal kloppen. Mooie détails van voordeur over kamer tot de tuin (de huiskat heeft er een eigen Lobster Lodge☺️). Terwijl we onderweg waren, werd al eens gepolst naar aankomst want we liepen vertraging op door file en regenweer. Communicatie plus! Parkeren in de buurt (Dageraadplaats, veel resto's en cafés) op een vrijdagavond, was even zoeken. Een hartelijke en persoonlijke ontvangst door Bart en Eva. Omdat er een Rock Lobster muzieksessie was, leidde Eva ons naar de Jazz kamer. Bart verwelkomde sessiebezoekers. Wij hebben, na de muzieksessie, heerlijk geslapen. Super comfy bed en leuke détails die absoluut bijdragen tot de beleving. Zalige douche ook, onmiddellijk warm water! Na de muzieksessie, die wij zeker wilden bijwonen, werd het gelijkvloers weer omgeturnd tot ontbijtruimte. Het ontbijt ontbrak aan niets. Koffie, fruitsap, verse fruitsla, een perfect gekookt eitje, zalig brood en fijne accentjes die een lach op je gezicht toveren (door Eva gemaakte Chuck Rasp Berry confituur) of "Is it tea you're looking for?" op het thee schatkistje. Pas tegen 11h moesten we de kamer verlaten en vergaten we bijna te betalen, dat moet ook op einde verblijf. Geen druk, wel rust in een van muziek doordrongen kader. Wij zijn verkocht en zullen zeker nog 's terugkeren, wellicht meer dan 1 nachtje.
