AAshley_Young3Our 4 nights stay at this hotel is definitely the highlight of our Changbaishan trip. We had minimal planning for our trip here knowing that the hotel could take care of almost everything. The snowy weather makes this place looks very magical with the decoration too!
Things I really like about this hotel:
1. The pickup from Changbaishan train station to hotel, notify the hotel a day before arrival
2. Unlimited access to natural hot spring, both outdoor and indoor.
3. Fast pass to Changbaishan Tianchi (peak) by skipping the queue. The hotel is just few hundred meters away from Changbaishan entrance
4. Ski ticket and transport to the nearest Ski Resort
5. Great variety for breakfast
6. Clean and spacious room
7. An assigned butler(ĺź ć°¸č)to us to help with all our needs during our trip and stay in CBS
8. Recommended driver from the hotel to bring us around Erdaobai town, very friendly driver and reasonable charges
Things to improve:
1. Choice of meals for room service can be improved
2. Thereâs a Food Hall for hotel guests to go for lunch and dinner since the hotel is quite some distance from the town. Meals are quite costly in exchange for convenience

The free pick-up service from the railway station was smooth and incredibly helpful. It made our arrival stress-free and set the tone for the rest of our stay.
2. Room
The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with the added convenience of a heater in the washroomâa definite plus point, especially in colder weather.
3. Hospitality
The owner, Mr. Feng, and his staff, especially Mr. Xia, along with the rest of the team, are gems. They are extremely helpful, and their intention to assist guests is genuine. They provide support with a smile and never show any reluctance. Their efforts made our stay both comfortable and memorable.
4. Assistance and Arrangements
Mr. Feng and his staff went above and beyond to make our trip seamless. They arranged transport to Xue Li Mountain and helped us purchase tickets at a reasonable price. Mr. Feng even accompanied us to a restaurant to introduce us to a new dish, which was a delightful experience. The next day, Mr. Xia helped us buy tickets to Changbai Mountain (Heavenly Lake). He also ensured we were dropped off at the bus station and picked up later, making the process entirely hassle-free.
5. Farewell
This hotel holds a special place in our hearts. On our departure, they dropped us off at the railway station early in the morning. Mr. Feng himself joined to bid us farewell, which touched us deeply.
6. Final Thoughts
Their hospitality reaffirmed our faith in humanity. The kindness, care, and genuine efforts of Mr. Feng and his team made this stay unforgettable. Love and gratitude to all of them!

GGuest UserI have never been disappointed when choosing Mercure Hotel. I like the French decoration style, especially the one in Changbai Mountain. The service is perfect. They are always responsive and try to help guests. I felt uncomfortable in my stomach at around 11 o'clock in the morning, so I asked the front desk if they could send me a bowl of porridge. The robot brought me hot porridge in a few minutes. When I booked the room, I didn't see the mark that it was only for pick-up at the station. I made an appointment with the front desk to send the train to the station. The front desk actively helped me contact the manager and provided the service of sending the train to the station. The breakfast is also very rich, and Yanbian specialties are also provided... highly recommended! !

1. The Room : very clean and many room style to choose like Chinese or Japanese or normal.
2. The location : is very near town just only 5mins
Near Changbaishan railway station just only 5mins
Close to Scenic deer park and riding floating river
3. Sevice: excellent. The boss is very caring us. He took us from station to the hotel and back to station for FREE. He help us a lot to buy Mountain ticket, booking car, and bus to Xuexiang.
4. Hotel also Free Breakfast with delicious food. The kitchen service is great. They are kind and outgoing. đ

Edelweiss is just across the road, and it takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the Merganser Park. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Genting Market.
You can order takeout, but there are not many restaurants nearby, so you have to walk to the central street.
The room is very large, and you can sleep on the tatami, but you need to add a quilt.
The toiletries are all from Oulong. There is a direct drinking water device, which is much cleaner.
There is no cover between the shower and the bed, which lacks a little privacy. Everything else is perfect.

SSH.1The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel.
Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff
during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel.
Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts.
Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!!
Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen.
Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea.
In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb!
I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too!
The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team!
They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

GGuest UserThe front desk staff greeted us warmly when we entered the room and poured us 2 cups of hot water, which was very warm. The room we were given the first time had a smell and the ceiling was peeling. We changed to another room and the door could not be opened. The waiter said it was broken. Later, the front desk staff took a new room card and punched it in. I rested for about 5 minutes and went out to play. Before leaving, I found that the pillow was wrinkled as if I had slept in it, so I asked the waiter to put 2 clean pillowcases in the room. When I came back to change the pillowcases at night, I found blood stains on the pillows, which means that the pillows used by the previous guest were not changed at all. After reporting the problem to the front desk, two breakfasts were sent. The overall hygiene quality is too poor, and the attitude of the front desk staff is good.

NNThe Chang Bai Shan hot spring hotel is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to visit! They have public hot spring pools that are clean with great amenities. Â Around the hotel there is a âwalking streetâ with a great selection of shops within walking distance of the hotel, with a grocery store, a couple of restaurants and a gift shop.

XXzzhupeiqiThe service attitude was very good from the moment I checked in. The front desk staff Li Wei and Yu Yanjiao were very considerate. The housekeeper Chen Yuanyuan was very considerate in sending information about the scenic spots to the room. The room is clean and hygienic, and the facilities and equipment are complete. I called the front desk in the morning and the waiter came quickly, which was very considerate. Opposite the hotel is the Beauty Pine Park, which is very beautiful when it snows. Next time I come, I will order Jinshuihe again. The service is first-class.

GGuest UserI'm afraid my experience wasn't the best. When arrived our room, the floor (carpet) was super dirty. We complained to reception and they sent a cleaning lady. She wasn't super happy to clean the floor but we waited patently. Once she finished we open the bed and saw some hairs. We called reception again. This time one of the hotel managers came to meet us. She apologized and decided to upgrade us to a nicer and bigger room for free. They still took over one hour to clean it to make sure it was in acceptable conditions. I'm not sure we were just unlucky or that is the normal standard in that hotel. In any case, the new room was good to stay and we were happy with their efforts.
Breakfast is almost inexistent for foreigners and it finishes way too early: 8:30. Arriving twice at 8am, we could barely find food.
Except for this location, is good (close to train station, close to hospital where you can do virus test, close to connection point to enter Changbaishan (North), close to some big green areas (pine forests) where you can have enjoyable walks in the morning or after dinner.
As a conclusion, if I may give some constructive feedback to hotel manager:
- please consistently and thoroughly clean your rooms when guests leave;
- extended breakfast time to at least 9:30;
- include more variety in the breakfast and make sure quantities are at decent level by 8:00.
