Staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok but two mornings in a row they were out of bacon and yogurt.. Room was nicely furnished but could be cleaner. Under the bed was dusty and there was a receipt or paper that hadn’t been swept up. The bathroom baseboards hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also dirty doorframes in bathroom and dirty front of bathroom cabinet. A little more attention to those details would be nice. Bed was comfortable.

The whole experience was amazing. The room and hotel have been beautifully maintained and added modern amenities. It is in just the right place, close to restaurants and lots of things to do and see. The staff were great and saw to our needs. It was a quiet night after a long drive. Breakfast was served in a nicely kept dining room and parking was available. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We will be returning. The atmosphere of this hotel is wonderful.

Truly a terrible stay. The workers are pleasant enough but that is it. The hotel is dirty, not just old or slightly rundown, VERY dirty. Management is a total disaster to deal with. Our A/C stopped working twice. The first time we talked to the staff and they went to flip the breaker and they seemed very familiar with the issue. The second time was in the middle of the night (note this is an old hotel and we were staying on the 3rd floor so it can get real hot no matter the outside temp) making it very hard to sleep, you can’t open the window as there is no screen to keep out the bugs. Since you cannot reach management throughout the night (as there is only a phone number to call someone offsite that they won’t answer overnight) we contacted them in the morning and got a lovely response that they don’t control the A/C (despite this being a known issue) and a response that, if googled, the temperature outside overnight was actually quite lovely. Also was going to get charged for getting an early check in by 75 minutes but they luckily comped that... Avoid this place at all costs.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Xavier “suite” The love seat looked this something that was picked up for free on the side of the road. We covered it with an extra blanket we found in the closet. The ironing board was so stained I was hesitant to use it to iron clean clothes. I used a towel to cover it. There were personal items left in the bathroom from Previous guests. There was so much dust on the ceiling fan we didn’t dare turn it on. I could go on and on. We read many negative reviews outlining obvious maintenance and housekeeping issues. It was our hope that the owners would have taken these into consideration and give this historic inn the deep cleaning it desperately needs. Unfortunately, this is not the case. This is so sad as the Victorian Inn has so much potential. I did give it 2 stars as the location is fantastic, the breakfast was good and the bed sheets were clean.. just don’t look under the bed.

This was a good location for us for our event. But it was filthy . I purchased cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. I really feel like the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned for months. Around the toilet. Black baseboards with old dust. Upon entering the carpet at reception and on the stairs have not been cleaned for years. Yuck
