I had booked another chain hotel with a higher price before, but when I checked in, I found that the room was not clean enough, so I checked out and changed to this Mercure Hotel. As a French chain brand, Mercure's quality is still very guaranteed. The quality is quite good in the same price range in Anshun! There is free parking on the ground, which is very convenient! The room is clean and hygienic! The breakfast time is 6:30-10 o'clock, which is very reasonable! Another thing is that I found that I forgot the sunscreen at the hotel after checking out. It was my first time to visit Anshun. I initially chose this hotel for convenience and stayed there for three nights. The room was clean and tidy. I could see distant mountains from the window. The hotel staff were polite and warm. There were also restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making life convenient. , and the hotel also has pick-up and drop-off services, which is really convenient.

Excellent hotel . Love that robot making delivery . We have had all 3 nts meals at the Cantonese restaurant . Excellent services and their fresh steamed 石班魚 , if you order with them early in the day before 1pm , was soooo fresh and steamed to perfection . Their pool is excellent , one of the biggest pool .. needless to mention several hot spring pool with different heat to suit individuals .. both indoor and outdoor . Pity l didn’t get to visit the 2 floors shopping . My husband is glad 😃

Because it was a family trip, we booked a king-size room and a twin-bed room. After making a note, the hotel specially arranged two adjacent rooms. The hotel's front desk receptionists Xiao Zhou and Xiao Ya were enthusiastic in their service. The room was warm and spacious, clean and tidy. The hotel has a great location. Advantages: The staff at the front desk of the hotel are relatively good, and the check-in process is very fast. It only takes a few minutes. Moreover, there is no breakfast when making the reservation. The staff specially gave two breakfasts as gifts. Disadvantages: Because I checked into the hotel at 8pm, and the hotel is a chartered hotel for several tour groups, several parking spaces opposite the hotel were occupied by several tour buses. It took me several rounds to find a parking space.
Let’s talk about the surroundings of the hotel. The hotel is next to a hot spring town. There are very few residents in the surrounding area and there are basically no commercial facilities. There is only a convenience store downstairs in the hotel itself. The hotel mainly uses the outdoor hot springs to attract customers, because We planned to go to Huangguoshu Waterfall the next morning, and we arrived relatively late, so we simply didn’t experience it and can’t comment on the hot springs.
The hotel rooms are not satisfactory. The beds are one large and one small, suitable for a family of three. However, the carpet is not very clean, and there are guests in the corridor who have drunk wine very late and knock on the doors of other rooms very loudly, which greatly affects sleep.

Room was very clean and has a projector if you want to watch movies or tv shows on youku (can easily find english ones).

The village is worth your time, with locals in costume re-playing an ancient wedding and masked fighters. Well done and not too kitch. Villagers were very welcoming.
Also highly recommend a short climb to the temple on top of the mountain.

SShing runThe staff’s service is impeccable. As it is low season, they upgraded our room to the courtyard rooms and its lovely. They collected our dirty laundry, washed and sent it to our room for free. You can also request for complimentary feet soak. I tried to find wine late at night and while they dont have it, the staff sent me a glass of complimentary beer. Lots of smart features in the room and the breakfast is great. Location is right by Huangguoshu waterfalls entrance. Guests can also consider hoping over to nearby Bo Lian Hotspring for hotspring in the evening if theres nothing to do.

AAaron CedricThis hotel gives the guest a warm and personal touch. The best part of the hotel is that the owners are so friendly, treating the guests like family. On the first night I asked for a hot water bottle (热水袋) because I prefer to sleep with that rather than use the AC heating, and the ”mom” of the hotel went out of her way to find me one. On the last day when I was leaving early in the morning before the official breakfast time, she also made sure to give me a prepared breakfast so that I wouldn't be hungry on my day's journey. By the way, the normal breakfast of noodles/mixian is very tasty and nourishing with high quality ingredients. Anyways, the family that runs this hotel really want to make sure you have a comfortable stay, so they are always there to greet you and answer any questions and help you with whatever you need. Even when I asked for clues about where to find batik (蜡染) artists, they found me the phone number of batik artist in a nearby village. They are so eager to help guests squeeze the most out of all of Guizhou's wonders! In my case, as a foreigner and someone who doesn't speak Chinese too well, I found them very patient and helpful.
The rooms of the hotel are really elegant... simple, aesthetically pleasing design. The amenities are all comfortable: the bed mattress was a perfect balance of firm and soft, the shower had high pressure and hot water, etc. The wifi was strong and stable. I should point out that some of the hotel rooms only have a squat toilet, so if you need a seated toilet you should probably contact the hotel in advance to make sure that they have such a room for you before booking.
I should also point out the special location of this hotel. If you, like me, do not have a car and rely on didi or public transportation, then you should know that this hotel is quite a way into the countryside. In fact, on the road to the hotel, the taxi driver asked me, ”Why would you stay in such a remote hotel when there are good hotels in downtown Anshun?” Well, one of the reasons is because I do prefer personal hotels rather than corporate hotels. But also because my primary goal for my stay in Anshun was to see the old garrison villages (屯堡) in the area, not to see other sites like the famous waterfalls. If your goal is to see the old villages, then I think this is the perfect hotel for you. For one reason, one of the original garrison villages is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It's little-visited by tourists and so you'll have the whole place to yourself and get really great photographs. That village (called BenZhai [本寨]) is of great historical importance and is very photogenic, and it's so neat to live so close to it. There's another even bigger and more commercialized (and absolutely beautiful) garrison village, also within walking distance (15-20 minutes by walking), called YunShanTun (云山屯). You're also not too far from the most famous villages, namely JiuZhou and Tianlong. Those are at least an hour by walking, so you'll want to get a car. I found it to be nearly impossible to get a Didi driver to accept such rides in this countryside area, but the good news is that the hotel manager found a friendly guy from the village to drive me to those villages and also later to the airport, for the same prices that Didi predicted it would charge. If you do have your own car, then I don't think you have to worry about anything, as this villages in near the highway and thus you can readily access any of the sites of interest in Anshun from this hotel.
Overall, if you are looking for a hotel with warm and human experiences that is near to the places of great historical interest, this is the right hotel for you!

The toilet seat is heated, the hair dryer is from Dyson, and the minibar also meets the tastes of all ages. The room is very soundproof, windproof and warm, and the bedding is comfortable. Hygiene: From the reception room to the restaurant to the corridor to the swimming pool and then to the terrace and corridor of my room, the whole is very clean. Even the viewing terrace on the first floor is still brand new and clean in such rainy and windy weather.
Environment: The location is great. It is located in the best view position of the Huajiang Gorge Bridge, the world's tallest bridge. Two people can play games or watch movies in the room by projecting the screen, and you can also see the scenery while lying on the bed in the bedroom. I prefer to stay at home alone to drink tea, finish online classes on the terrace, and listen to the sound of cars coming and going on the bridge and the sound of birds and flowers around me quietly. It's also very good to blow the wind.
Service: This is really the most praiseworthy point! After I celebrated my birthday in Beijing this year, we parted ways and I went to Guizhou alone. The birthday on my ID card is the day of check-in, so the hotel staff were very considerate and provided a lot of value-added services: 👩🏻🦳 The front desk lady took the initiative to help me upgrade the room type when I received her, and sent me a souvenir when I left. From the introduction when I came to the greetings when I left, I felt at home. 👩🏻 The chef sent me a cake, very delicate longevity noodles and her own baked desserts when I was dining, which warmed my heart~ And it is worth mentioning that the cooking level is very high, which suits my taste very well, and the ingredients are also very sophisticated and solid. I ordered a home-cooked dish, an innovative dish and a local specialty staple food, all of which were very well cooked. --yingshaozhuFinally I have time to post this hotel. I actually stayed in late August, but I haven't had time to comment. The main attraction I want to visit when I go to Anshun is Huangguoshu, and Bailian is a national luxury hotel that I have never stayed in, so I stayed here when I went to Huangguoshu. The actual experience is indeed very unique.
A staff member will add WeChat and confirm the information one day in advance, and then confirm the time, and help prepare tickets for Huangguoshu Scenic Area. (Each room in the hotel should be given 2 free tickets)
The hotel has airport (station) pick-up and drop-off services, but only Anshun Airport and Anshun West Station, and other places in the city should not be possible. Of course, if you plan to play in Anshun city for two days before going there, and want to use this pick-up service, the solution is to make an appointment and go to the station by yourself. Mercedes-Benz v business car for pick-up and Buick business car for drop-off. Then there are very exquisite snacks prepared in the car, which should be praised.
The main public areas of the hotel are concentrated in two independent buildings, the lobby and restaurant are here, and the tea room hot spring (including gym and swimming pool) is next door. When I arrived at the hotel, a staff member came to deliver an ice towel and a necklace immediately. This is still very good, the standard is high enough.
The service at the front desk is a little worse. It feels like the service standard is set very high but the standard is not fully implemented. Basically, I checked in and took the car to the room. I gave a brief introduction, but I feel that most guests would not remember it. Then when I checked out the next day, I found that several guests were arguing at the front desk. They probably waited for a long time but could not check in. The scene was a little chaotic. It felt that there might be a slight shortage of staff during the peak season. But except for the lobby, the overall service standard is still very high.
Booked two rooms, a mountain view soup room suite and a mountain view or lake view soup room. They were upgraded (I am not sure if the non-suite room was upgraded) to a lake view soup room suite and a lake view soup room. These two rooms are connected rooms, so the staff opened the connecting door. Chinese style decoration style, the suite area is OK, the ordinary one is slightly smaller, but it doesn't matter because it is connected. Snacks were delivered when turning down the bed, rose candles were prepared for the hot spring, and drinks in the minibar were free. We ordered night tea that night, the view was unbeatable, but the snacks were average. The night tea was not in the hotel but in a separate tea room, with a car to pick up, which I think is worth the experience.
There are some fixed batik-like activities every day, and the package includes afternoon tea and travel photography. The afternoon tea was similar to the night tea the night before, which was average. The travel photography was very watery, and they really only took 6 photos instead of taking more photos to choose good-looking ones. The scenery was also relatively poor, but it was better than nothing.
The food and beverage aspect was okay, the breakfast was average, and then I missed the dinner time so I only had a simple meal, the quality was good, especially the pickled pepper rice noodles, which tasted great.
Overall it is worth a try, preferably in the off-season, stay a few more days, experience various activities, it is still very good. But the price is really high

After breakfast at 8:30 in the morning, we went to the Great Falls Scenic Area first, walked down the mountain to the Water Curtain Cave first, and then walked to the bottom to experience it up close. There were not many tourists along the way, and finally took the elevator back, which was really great. Then we returned to the visitor center to transfer to the Tianxing Bridge. The whole trip was around 14 o'clock, and finally went to Doupotang. All the attractions were done in one day, without wasting time. The hotel's service was also superb, with welcome fruits prepared and luggage delivered to the room. The restaurant's dishes were also delicious. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Huangguoshu. We stayed for two nights and it was really comfortable

The housekeeper will pick you up and drop you off when you go out, which is very convenient. It is also convenient for dining. It is recommended to stay for two nights.
