On New Year’s Eve when almost all hotels near the station were fully booked or prices were skyrocketing, I chose this old five-star hotel, which is relatively remote compared to the station. Let me briefly talk about my stay experience.
Environment: The hotel is located in Tiedong District, Anshan City, about a 25-minute walk from Anshan Station. Downstairs is the park and the main road. The transportation is relatively convenient, but it is indeed some distance from Anshan Station. Let’s talk about the hotel’s internal environment. As soon as you enter the hotel door, you will see the spacious lobby, which is very grand and imposing. My room is on the 21st floor, which is a relatively high floor. I can see a good view through the window. There are three elevators leading to the guest rooms. The waiting time for the elevator is not too long, but there is no need to swipe the elevator card to get on the elevator. This still needs to be improved. After all, in a five-star hotel, the management in this area should be stricter.
Service: When checking in and checking out, the front desk can handle the check-in and check-out relatively quickly and can better meet the needs. At the same time, the 500 yuan deposit paid when checking in was also returned to WeChat within half an hour, which is quite efficient.
Hygiene: The hygienic conditions in the room are good. There is no very dirty place found. There are only hair and some dust in some corners, but these do not affect the overall situation.
Facilities: Facilities should be the ”feature” of this hotel, and they are also the most criticized. Since this hotel opened relatively early and has not undergone large-scale renovations and renovations in recent years, the facilities and equipment are relatively ”simple”. Let’s talk about the advantages first, that is, the room has all the necessary facilities and equipment, including bathrobes, large bathtubs, hotel brochures, mini refrigerators, etc. Then there are some minor shortcomings: there is no charging port at the bedside, and charging needs to be done through the plug strip on the desk; the TV is very mini, hidden in the cabinet, and has no station, and it always displays ”no signal”; the room is centrally air-conditioned, it seems The effect is not very good, it takes a while to sense the temperature; the interior lighting in the room is a bit dim at night. It is recommended that renovations and improvements can be made in a timely manner.
I have been looking at the Fifth Ring Hotel on Ctrip for a long time, and I have also been reading reviews from other guests. Based on the overall rating, I actually didn’t have high hopes for this hotel at first. But the actual check-in experience actually far exceeded my expectations. Not to brag, I really don’t think the Fifth Ring Hotel has a comprehensive rating of only 3.9. At least my experience during my stay this time was very good. After using coupons and points to book the room this time, it only cost 100 yuan a night. I think it is really not easy and very memorable to be able to stay in such a cost-effective hotel on this bustling and crowded New Year's Eve. But the most important thing is that the hotel should keep pace with the times and upgrade and optimize the room decoration and equipment.
