Hotel Finial, BW Premier Collection

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to book and came at a fair price. We stayed in the cottage for two nights. It’s spacious with lots of nice decorations. Also very quiet and easy to get in/out. Check in was a breeze. The check in staffer also serves as the bartender. I believe her name is Alyssa and she was friendly, prompt and provided excellent service. The main building is cool. Lots of history and neat rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the biscuits and gravy. The hotel is in a good location and seemed safe (gated). You can walk to the historic downtown. We’d say here again.

It was pretty, but the mattress was terrible. The buildings are beautiful, being greeted by the adorable cat (and I don't like cats), the kindness of the staff are all great!

It was great no problems with anything. Everything was clean staff was nice. The place to me is really fancy. We had a blast also the pool was awesome it was clean. The rooms must be soundproof because we couldn’t even tell anyone else was there until we saw them.

This hotel is built around a great concept: A late 19th century Victorian mansion that has been craftily restored and renovated and is connected to a somewhat average and mainstream hotel building. This isn’t so much a bad thing but I think it’s a bit of a misleading thing to see all of the incredible photographs of the signature building and later realize that this is not the experience that 90% of the lodgers will experience other than the scrumptious breakfast (more on that later) that all of the guests will get to experience. The rooms that most guests will stay in are fairly mainstream. Again, not a slam on the hotel but definitely a bit misleading. Our room had a large mark on the wall but all in all was average and quiet. The wall ac unit is loud but it definitely keeps the room cool. They were well-appointed and had about everything you need for a visit. The staff here really take pride in their work and are extremely helpful offering up suggestions for dining as well as helpful in every way they can. We were greeted promptly and treated extremely well. The breakfast was wonderful and most importantly it was served in the main house, the Victorian home that IS the Hotel Finial. Make sure to look around the space and find a nice view. The restoration of the building is incredible and if I were near the area and needing a special place for an event, this would be a perfect place to host it. All in all our stay was acceptable and I would recommend it as a place to stay if in the area. Just important to know that the spaces you are booking are in an attached building unless you specifically look into the suites. Make sure to look carefully and fully understand what you are booking. I felt the price for the non-mansion homes was a bit on the pricey side but the staff and the breakfast helped make it worthwhile.

This place was an amazing to stay at. The architecture and historic design of the place made it truly unique. It had similar esthetics to the Bardo Hotel in Savanna Georgia. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The only down side was the city sounds but then again i live in the quite country. It was a nice change of scenery. Highly recommend this hotel to any passing through or staying a while. Also a nice place for a surprise romantic getaway, henceforth the pictures.
