Hotel Review: Cambria Hotel – Arundel Mills Mall, MD (4th of July Weekend) 2025 My family and I booked a stay at the Cambria Hotel near Arundel Mills Mall for the Fourth of July weekend while visiting loved ones in the DMV. We chose this location based on its great reviews and convenient proximity to shopping and dining. My initial impression was very positive—the hotel lobby was modern, clean, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the start, and they held our reservation without issue after I called ahead to prepay due to a late check-in. That part of the service was seamless. Our first room was cozy, neat, and comfortable. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue with the toilet's low water pressure—it required several flushes each time. When reported, the front desk offered to either submit a maintenance request or move us to a new room. We appreciated the option and decided to switch rooms. When we entered the second room, it looked great at first glance. But as we prepared the pull-out sofa bed for my son, we discovered socks and toys underneath—clear signs the room had not been properly cleaned. Once again, the staff was kind and helped us relocate. They even had the security guard assist us, which I especially appreciated since I have three kids and multiple sclerosis. Unfortunately, the third room was worse. We asked the security guard to stay while we checked it, and when we pulled out the sofa bed, we were horrified to find stained bedding—what appeared to be blood on the cover—and a visibly soiled mattress. At this point, it was 1 a.m., and I was standing with three children, now moving into our fourth room in less than two hours. I was exhausted and appalled. The staff responded again and moved us a final time. This last room was clean, and thankfully we were able to settle in. However, despite everything, no compensation was offered for the inconvenience. I was told to speak to the general manager at 10 a.m., but when I followed up, I was informed he wouldn’t be in until Monday—convenient timing, considering we were checking out over the weekend. This experience was not only disappointing, but it stole valuable time from our family vacation—time we can’t get back. Final Ratings: Staff: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Décor: 5/5 Safety: 5/5 Cleanliness of Common Areas: 4/5 Room Cleanliness: 1/5 (Based on staying in four rooms, only one was properly cleaned) This hotel has potential—great staff, great location—but housekeeping standards must be a top priority. No guest should be forced to inspect four rooms at 1 a.m. to find one that's suitable for sleep. Cleanliness, especially where guests lay their heads, is non-negotiable. As it stands, I would not stay here again, and I sincerely hope Cambria Hotels and Choice Hotels take this feedback seriously. Please do better.

Beautiful hotel - WONDERFUL STAFF - delightful stay. My daughter's soccer team stayed here for Baltimore Mania. Every family commented, several times, how nice our stay was. The GM was so kind and accommodating with our requests. Each of us got a text in the morning asking us how are stay was going and if there was anything they could do to make it more enjoyable. Start to finish we were incredibly pleased with the accommodations and staff. Thank you!

"A Costly DISAPPOINTMENT – BEWARE!" "I had high expectations for Cambria Hotel Arundel Mills-BWI Airport, but my experience was such a nightmare that I had to cut my stay short and urgently find other lodging. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that customer service was nonexistent at this hotel. The staff was indifferent and dismissive about every issue I raised, acting as though my concerns were an inconvenience rather than their responsibility. The room was far smaller than advertised and felt cramped and uncomfortable. On top of that, it was in terrible shape: appliances didn’t work, light bulbs were burnt out, and basic toiletries like towels and toilet paper were barely stocked. Worst of all, the cheap, worn-out furnishings included a desk chair so uncomfortable it caused back pain every time I tried to sit down to work. When I approached the staff about these issues, they showed zero interest in helping, leaving me feeling completely disregarded and frustrated. If you're considering staying here, I urge you to think twice. The misleading room descriptions, lack of basic hospitality, uncomfortable amenities, and dismissive attitude of the staff make this place an absolute NO-GO. Don’t waste your money or time—avoid this place and look elsewhere if you value a decent, comfortable, and respectful stay."

Hotel is beautiful, good location. Not sure about the quality of construction because you can hear every step from upstairs. My main complaint is the front desk staff…not very friendly or helpful….they’re not “hospitality people”

Solid 4. I stay here every month. Rooms and bathrooms are always clean. Staff always polite and courteous. Deduct 1 due to noise. You will occasionally hear loud guests, crying babies, and noise in hallways. Other than that, I trust that this hotel stay will always be comfortable.
