My Place Hotel-Ankeny/Des Moines IA

We loved our stay which was almost a week. Having a full kitchen and plenty of room for clothes and other storage made a huge impact on the ease of traveling with kids. In-house laundry, clean and spacious rooms. The front desk workers were all helpful, but Brooke was truly a joy. So sweet and kind as well as knowledgeable.

Location was good. Room was decent, nothing fancy. Value for what you get wasn't great, would honestly probably skip it.

This hotel is top tier in the Ankeny area! The staff is amazing & very friendly. The manager is awesome! The entire team is very knowledge, respectful, & great! The room are cozy & relaxing! Very clean! They have fresh coffee around the clock for you! The store is convenient & so is the business center & laundry room! I highly recommend this hotel

Deceitful. Booked a room with two queens. When I checked in I was asked if this was for the room with doubles I had booked. I replied no, I had booked two queens. They then told me that they had over booked that night. They had checked their other nearby location and they did not have queen rooms either. I asked if they had checked, why did they act like I had booked 2 doubles initially? Best answer they could offer was sorry. When I asked if they knew they had over booked, why didn't they call me to tell me to tell me they had messed up so I wouldn't have to waste my time coming there and scrambling to find alternate accommodations? Again the best answer they could give was sorry. They offered a room with a king and a recliner, but that would not work for our family of 4. Next they offered a room with 2 doubles. However when I asked if it would be a lower rate they said no, they would charge me the rate for 2 queens, even though I would only get a room with 2 doubles. I ended up going someplace else. I understand mistakes happen, but to be deceitful and waste my time really isn't acceptable. Please be cautious if you book this hotel

Clean rooms, professional and helpful staff, very little noise from outside room. Pet friendly. Nice kitchenette with stovetop. You must bring your own cooking and dishware though. Some adjacent road construction but easy access to freeway.

Need a place to stop between Duluth and Omaha, and we've discovered this is great hotel. Nice kitchenette, full size fridge, clean, comfortable room -- it's perfect for an overnight or extended stay. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Have never stayed at this chain. Smaller hotel. Very large rooms. Comfortable beds. Quiet hotel. Near many businesses and restaurants. Definitely recommend and have already searched other areas for this chain.

My stay started out bad by the long check-in and the receptionist not knowing any customer service or why the person checking me in had her phone on video call. I literally had to ask them to remove the phone from facing the computer screen so my card or other info isn't seen by their boyfriend and was given a dirty look. When I reached the room my keys didn't work and I had to walk back to the front desk and no one was their... I had to wait well over 15 minutes for them to return from outside for idk why and make me new keys. The room was not to great, sheets were a bit ragged and wrinkle but it was quiet.

Wanted to stay but no one ever showed at the reception desk, we were there 30 minutes. We waited and no one ever showed up, I don't know why they did not have a person at the reception desk I even stepped behind the desk to see if anyone was in the back room and walked around and could not find anyone so we left and stayed somewhere else.
