Having arrived at our original hotel and been hugely disappointed, we quickly booked a room at the Westin, got a taxi and checked out. As soon as we arrived at the Westin, we knew we'd made the right decision. We were welcomed with a mocktail and shown our room which was beautiful. When noise from an Indian wedding started, they quickly looked into it and moved us to the opposite wing of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. During the entire stay, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everyone from housekeeping to the various managers were generous with both their time and kindness. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of both Indian and international. The restaurant staff were amazing and special mention must go to restaurant manager, Ashok who could never do enough for us and made everything run so smoothly if we ever had any queries. I had a tickly throat one day and the next thing I knew, he arrived with a hot water steeped with ginger and honey. So thoughtful and kind. I would also like to mention the lovely Rohit Bhardwaj, who was so sweet and kind to us both. My husband loves mango juice and I asked if it was possible for him to have a glass one morning. After that, whenever he was on duty, a glass of mango juice would appear at breakfast. We have been lucky to stay in some wonderful hotels over the years and it is these little touches that make all the difference. We were made to feel incredibly valued by the whole team. Loyalty brand manager Dianne DeSouza was brilliant, sorting the odd request with professionalism and efficiency. She gave us her number allowing us to Whatsapp her if we had any queries which was so handy. I'd also highly recommend the spa, overseen by the wonderful Monika. We had a few treatments (not something I tend to do) and they were so lovely and relaxing. We were even gifted a foot massage each the day before we left which was so unexpected and absolutely fabulous. The rooms were cleaned without fail every day, and cleaned well. If you requested anything from housekeeping, it arrived promptly with a smile. Our only initial issue we had with this hotel was the loudness of the music in every area. However, after a couple of conversations with both Dianne and Ashok, the levels were lowered permanently to a volume at which a conversation could be held but still providing an atmosphere. The fact that these excellent managers listened to their guests and took things on board and actually acted upon them is an example that so many others should follow. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit North Goa. You'll have a wonderful time!
