Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de cette demeure historique aménagée avec goût et respect de l'authenticité en chambre d'hôte. Très bon accueil par Johanna, très bon petit déjeuner. Possibilité de garer nos vélos dans la maison. Situé en plein centre ville... Bref, époustouflant...

What a find. The building is so historic, right in the heart of the old town. Communication was very good and we were able to store our bikes . We were treated with a warm welcome and shown to our top floor room the Nid. It is beautifully in the old rafters of the house with a bath and large bed. Ceiling height would be a challenge for anyone over my height 5’ 9” - so choose another room to avoid disappointment. Angers old town is noisy in to the night (ear plugs were provided but if you are sensitive you may wish to have your own measures). Breakfasts were in a friendly communal setting with all the best of a usual french breakfast and freshly made pancakes. We mentioned a specific like of ours one day, and were touched that the item appeared the next day - thank you. We would highly recommend.

Others have said everything.....but staying in this stunningly renovated guest house will live on in my memory. The building just ouses history. I equate it to spending the night in a house that the 'Girl with the Pearl Earing' would have been familiar with. This building is reminiscent of the Globe Theatre....but older. Superbly attended to by our hosts, the rooms (just 5 or 6) are well appointed, and ALL architecturally fascinating. Beware.......there is NO lift....and be prepared to bang your head on the low beams, certainly in one room (Le Nid). Breakfast was a pleasure. 10 stars !!!!

Magnifique étape, les chambres sont très propres et le cadre sublime, superbe renovation parking souterrain proche de l'hôtel, petit déjeuner dans la cuisine, atypique mais efficace. Restaurant en centre ville donc pas besoin de voiture

One of a kind place : high wooden house in old city center, one room on each level. A bit cold in winter, but additional heater in the room. Nice breakfast served in the room. Very well located near the cathedral. You can arrive after hours too if you inform the owner.

This is a beautifully unique property.
Well equipped bedroom in a wonderfully characterful building.
We were on the top floor with views of the cathedral. The stairs are great exercise too!
