A truly wonderful experience. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Loved our room and facilities. Great Bistro with amasing views and a wide range of food and drink. Gi Gi, looked after us really well. Superb breakfast and waiters. Located close to the old city. If only all Italian Hotels were at this high standard. Many thanks Guys, loved our stay.

The Ego hotel is situated in an easily accessible area with good easy parking facilities. The hotel itself is very reasonable for what it offers, very clean and a great spa to unwind. Above all the staff are very helpful, especially Simona!!

While the Lobby and restaurant are very nice the hotel could really use and update. The hallways are dark and really outdated. The AC gets shut off every night so it is hard to sleep because the temp goes from cool to hot. Every day when the room was made up they cranked the temperature up so it was very hot after walking up 2 flights of stairs then up the hill to the hotel. The wifi was terrible, video would buffer every 45 sections if it ran at all. The staff was great though.

The hotel is great! The location is excellent, the port is the seaside port, the back is the shopping pedestrian street, eat and drink! The interior of the hotel is decorated in a Mediterranean style, very beautiful and the rooms are very clean! The son was naughty and accidentally broke the flower pot at the front desk. Although the reception was speechless, it was still very friendly! Breakfast is relatively simple, but fruits, bread, cold cuts, coffee, etc. are enough for your belly! This hotel makes our impression of Ancona more beautiful and memorable!

Everything was perfect but cleaning ladies have to speak not that high, they speak to each other from room to room wich I don’t mind but not that loud , there was one cleaning lady that was on the phone all the time speaking loudly

Our stay at Hotel Emilia in Portonovo was nothing short of exceptional. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the outstanding attention and kindness from the staff. Every interaction was warm, genuine, and left us feeling incredibly welcomed and cared for. Particular mentions to Veronica, Erik and the lovely staff from the aperitif area, particularly its manager who is a great wine connoisseur and interesting person. Also the maitre who proved to be a wonderful professional who spoilt us on every breakfast. The hotel boasts a beautiful pool and stunning views that truly enhance the relaxing atmosphere. The gastronomy is nothing short of amazing, with each meal crafted to perfection. One of our favorite moments was enjoying the fantastic aperitif with breathtaking views—a truly unforgettable experience. Art is thoughtfully integrated throughout the hotel, adding a touch of elegance and creativity to the ambiance. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, as every corner of the hotel was spotless. Breakfast exceeded all expectations, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. Hotel Emilia is perfectly located, close to beautiful beaches, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration. The rooms at Hotel Fortuna are simple and basic - with a desk, bed & wardrobe. My room had a small balcony. The bathroom was decent-sized. For the price, it was worth it. Pros - directly opposite Ancona station. Stay here if you need to get to other destinations in the region by train. Connectivity to the old town is convenient with frequent bus services from the station. It is not walkable so you will need to take public transport. There is a coffee shop next door where you can buy bus tickets. - Polite staff who spoke English well. - Housekeeping did a good job. - Great water pressure which was nice and hot. No kettle in the room so used the hot water to make tea. - Comfortable bed and pillows Cons - Air conditioning was set to ‘Heat’ as it’s not yet summer. Visited in May so the room can get stuffy during the day unless you leave the balcony door open. - No kettle or mini fridge in the room. - The wifi was intermittent during my 2-night stay. - A single plug point near the bed. Carry a multi-plug adapter if you need to charge multiple devices. - Not much in the area for food. - Room keys are clunky and inconvenient to carry around.
