We had booked as a fall-back since our initially booked hotel The Walnut Tree refused to accommodate our dates and did not refund our money either. But we were pleasantly surprised with the standards and we got full value of money. Recommended surely.

Very poor service. Bed was horrible. Could not sleep properly. Denied taking food order after 7pm. No hot water kettle. Geyser was not working. No electricity. No heater in the room. I wont recommend it to anyone

The property is very dated, old structure, partially functional furniture and slightly tacky. Plz skip this property.
No complaints for the service provided by the 2 guys.. but the property does not fulfill the basic expectations one has from a 6K per night hotel.
If you get it for 3k, you can select this property.

Stayed in this hotel in June 1987. Still have awesome memories, excellent hotel, beautiful location, took bath in the river flowing in front of the hotel. Enjoyed the stay. It was the Best stay among various places in Kashmir during that visit.

We had a very nice new room…everything in and around house and beautiful garden is very clean and well maintained. The service is amazing. Same for the food! Yummy! It is worthwhile to learn the history of brownpalace through collected pictures and stories including letter from very satisfied guest … The father of the house has done a very good job!
