This place was advertised as an idyllic scene in the mountains, with rooms lit by oil lamps and a view of the ocean. Instead it felt like a prison in the rocks. We had booked a place with two bedrooms, one of them was just a hole cut out in the rocks, no door, just a bed in it. The kitchen had a 1 sq foot counter with a one pit Bunsen burner on top , no water at the sink and was so small only one person could move in it. There was a tiny little table with one chair, so if we wanted to eat our meals we had to go outside. That was also where the shower was, well there was a space with a sink I wouldn’t call it a shower. The shower head wasn’t attached …. As for a view , anywhere on the premises you were looking back at the mountains and some massive electric cable pilons. To see the sea, which was about 7 km away you would need to first hike up from the parking lot….. It could be nice but instead was a dark, uninviting, horror experience. There is a difference between ‘idyllic’ and completely run-down.

What a dump!! Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this (literal) hole in the wall. The concept sounds wonderful - restored 300 year old houses on a hillside - but the delivery is awful. It's like sleeping in a cave. I don't need luxury but I do need a property that matches it's description. The pictures make it look far better than it is. We had made a booking for four in one of their spaces that supposedly was suited for 4 adults. I don't consider a one bedroom cave with a second bed in a hallway as suited for 4 people. The place is described as rustic - that's being charitable. Apparently there's a cooktop in the "kitchen". First, there's no kitchen. Second the "cooktop" consist of a single burner gas ring on top of the fridge. Supposedly there's bbq facilities available - there aren't but there is an enclosed fire pit with no chimney and no grill or grate. The "hostess" was quite clear that she really did not want us to use it. There's no hot water in the "kitchen" either. So not only can one not really cook, one also cannot clean up afterwards. There is nowhere inside for 4 adults to sit and talk. The "hallway" bedroom doesn't even have a curtain to provide privacy from the "kitchen". The space might just be big enough for two adults but only just. There's plenty of cats to pay attention to - about the only good part of the place. The staff we met were friendly enough but the unit was not cleaned nor was the bathroom or kitchen garbage emptied until we asked for it to be done. We booked for four nights and left after three - it would have been two if we could have made other plans faster. It's dark and dingy and not appealing at all. I would rather have been in our roof top tent on our Landy in a desert somewhere.
