Hotels near H'Art Museum, Amsterdam

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on business. My experience was generally positive however there are some areas for consideration before you reserve. The hotel is a long walk with luggage from the train station. It is positioned in a street where one of your neighbours is a Red Cross centre. There are some issues with either homeless or fragile people in the area during the night. I am a 2m tall man so it does not bother me but it would not be the same if I was a woman. Upsides include the proximity of a large supermarket. The hotel itself is quite modern. I was in a room with a private terrace but it was actually in the basement so natural light was very limited. My room was comfortable and furnished according to the standards of the brand. The bathroom was clean and modern. My room did have a number of cobwebs on the ceiling which is in part, no doubt, due to being on level -1. The rooms are separated into several buildings joined by passageways so bear this in mind if you have a big suitcase, it may take a while to reach your room. The breakfast room is only open for breakfast which is a shame, since there is no restaurant (which is normal for the brand, no issues) and the space would be useful to eat (delivered or take away) dinner. At reception there are, in my opinion, too many people milling around. When I arrived it took a moment to raise their attention from chatting amongst themselves and get started on the paperwork, added to which after giving my passport they gave me someone else’s paperwork. Remember the first impression for a frequent traveller is how efficient you are - less people to chat with would mean more focus on the job. While I was there IHG suffered a well publicised data breach so I am not commenting on the issues regarding computer system failures. Finally, I would say this is a hotel which makes sense for a couple with little luggage and no work pressures.

Charming quaint hotel situated right near Albert Cuyp. The hotel was in great condition & location was perfect - off a quiet street but close walking distance to the main museums, trendy cafes, restaurants & markets. Room was quiet, clean & comfortable. Friendly, professional, easy going front desk reception. The common areas were all very well maintained, the room although small, was perfect for our needs - also very clean & perfectly renovated with nice fixtures. My mom & I shared the family room for 4 pax - it was perfect for 2, as we got to have our own separate space in a small room. This is a not a budget hotel, rather $300 USD per night. The value was noticeable. We did not opt in for breakfast which is a separate fee but coffee & tea was included for hotel guests. Ease of check in & check out was a plus. Everything was pleasant - clean, modern, updated & fresh. Highly recommend Hotel Nicolaas Witsen & would absolutely return :)

Super duper close to Amsterdam Centraal station and there are buses and trams nearby. Just a 10-15 min walk to the Red Light districts and de Bijenkorf shopping mall. We said we didn't want end rooms but got arranged to one when we checked in... The view was nice with a balcony (but it's locked so you can't go outside) but my partner did not feel comfortable with end rooms. Eventually we called down to the front desk for a room and they changed us to a room nearer to the lifts. One thing I really liked about the hotel is that they use WhatsApp for requesting for amenities and checking out. It's convenient and simple to use but somehow... The housekeeping keeps on getting 1 or 2 items wrong lol Oh and please note that they don't provide bottled water, the whole city is proud of their tap water and the receptionist said it's safe to drink. If tap water isn't to your liking, there are quite a few stores nearby to buy mineral water. I would recommend going to Albert Heijn or Dirk for those. Slippers are provided in this hotel.

It is a house with local characteristics. It has a good location. It is ten minutes away from the central railway station. It is beside the canal and there are many foods around. It is also a ten-minute walk to Dam Square.

Stayed in this fabulous hotel for 3 nights From checking in to checking out, the whole experience was fantastic. The hotel is spotless . The food was delicious And the staff are all very obliging. My room was so beautifully designed and very tastefully decorated . It was the most unbelievable comfortable bed I have ever slept in . It was just amazing. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough . I will certainly be returning . Thank you very much

The hotel was great. Very good quality of the equipment. But the services from the Reception was very unkind. The online booking was not great because they announced in Booking website they are not charge the credit card before the the date of the arrival. But they have tried a lot of time to charge my credit card during more than 1 week then they blocked my bank account because my bank though a tentative of fraud. I paid my bank to unblock and made a new credit card. They said it was to save the room... So they are not really in phase with the information giving on their profile in Booking.com. After that, at our arrival, they tried to charge more than expected my reservation (the amount they blocked in my credit card + the full amount of my entire reservation so more than 420 Euros)

Great hotel. Modern, clean with plenty of space in the room. Shower excellent. All amenities provided including a gym and pizza restaurant/bar downstairs. Rate was reasonable and very close to Noord rail station. The only issue is that Noord is a developing area and there is not much going on outside the hotel. A train trip is required to visit downtown Amsterdam which is 2 stops away. Great for business travellers.

Trust me you will not be disappointed. The hotel is clean and modern. The hospitality is beyond amazing. The friendliest front desk that is available 24/7. Location is spot on. Train station, including busses, metro etc across the road and no more than a 5 minute walk. Was 1 stop to get into the centre of Amsterdam and very easy to navigate the public transport to venture into different neighborhoods as well. Hands down I will recommend hotel2stay to everyone heading to Amsterdam ! Thank you so much to all the staff that made our stay so pleasurable.

Room is clean and spacious. The view is also very nice. However, amenities are lacking. They don’t even have one single wine opener in the hotel. The wifi is also very slow, I was not able to watch any videos.

I chose this hôtel as I was travelling from the UK to see Dépêche Mode at the Ziggo Dome. And stayed two nights. Jaz in the City is just steps away from the Ziggo entrance so you can’t get any closer! It’s also great as a base for Amsterdam sightseeing. From the airport there’s a direct train (hotel is a 10-15 min walk from Bijlmer ArenA station). You can also hop on the metro here for a 20 min ride to Centraal. As Amsterdams public transport is so good (compared to Bristol in the UK where I live) you can confidently rely on it to get you wherever you need to be efficiently! Staff at the hotel are super friendly and helpful. From front desk, bar, restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone (thankfully) spoke English which is ideal for me as I can just about say hello and thank you in Dutch! Special shout out to Mr Omelette Maker at breakfast. The perfect start to a day of sightseeing!! I’m sure they’re are cheaper options but I’m of an age where I understand that you get what you pay for. This hotel in my opinion is great. It looks good, is super clean and well maintained and importantly ＜feels＞ good.
