Very noisy.
The noise of laughing, screaming, and swearing on the streets outside the hotel didn't stop until 4.00am!! I read the reviews about the noise before I booked the room, but I never expected it was so horrible like that.
I will never ever go back to this hotel again.
Suggestion: If you are white, you can try to ask for a room on the higher floors, or just simply stay in other hotels around that are nice and cheaper.

Right next to the subway station, there are trams 4 and 14. We came out of the airport to take the train to the Central Station, and then changed to No. 4 to the hotel. The streets and roads in Amsterdam are not all asphalt roads, many of which are small bricks and have a lot of luggage. You have to choose the side of the subway station, otherwise you will walk too hard. Old hotel, very clean, very warm reception. No breakfast choice. If you are booking a car, please pay attention to the fact that taxis, etc. cannot reach the entrance of the hotel, or you must cross the square, or be on the side of the road behind you.

Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel.
Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible.
The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough.
Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands.
Kind regards,
Diederik Lugt

It's so comfortable, the bathroom is big and clean, and the supplies are very comfortable. The breakfast is very rich. It is definitely the first choice for travel hotels, and I will choose Andaz Hotel in the future. The waiters are all young people, very friendly and relaxed😎

Location: While definitely in the center of the city, it's still about a 10 min walk to get to the main central street, Damrak. (Additionally about a 10 min walk to Amsterdam Centraal - so if you have heavy bags, take that into consideration). Also, not any trams / buses in the immediate area. That being said, located in a much more neighborhood (re: quiet) area than a busy tourist / hotel heavy area. If you are a walker, great location. If not, might not be great.
Cleanliness: Some hotels in Europe can be highly rated, but grungy. Everything from the bathrooms, to the rooms, to the hallways were always in order and free of dust and grunge. So much so, my wife actually pointed it out to me within the first 10 minutes.
Service: Hotel staff is located right at the front door and always there with a hello and more than willing to help. We typically have our room cleaned every other day and the housekeeping staff did an awesome job. Didn't use the bar or sit in the eating area as we mostly ate out. Warning, they don't serve breakfast anymore (due to COVID), but will serve to your room if you make arrangements the night before.
Facilities: Overall very well-maintained and clean. The decor is dark colors of purple, red, and black. After the first day, you really don't notice. But color palette is not your typical boring beige on white.

The hotel is located on Rembrandt Square, not far from the main attractions. The building itself is also a historical building with an elegant lobby. The front desk service is enthusiastic and they try to arrange rooms with views according to the guests' preferences. The stay experience is very good!

The location is convenient, close to Waterlooplein station, and there is a cafe around the corner. The room is not big, especially the bathroom is very narrow, but the basic amenities are there, including a hairdryer, and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel focuses on sustainability. If cleaning is required, you need to scan the QR code to register the day before.
The biggest problem is the room door. The door is heavy and has no buffer. Anytime someone from the next door enters or exits the room, they will be startled by the sound of the door being slammed shut.

Waldorf Amsterdam. The location has nothing to say, just by the Gentleman's Canal, an old European house.1.2-1.5 kilometers from several major museums, within 20 minutes walk (the three-story canal and each few steps have a cute bridge and a small house like chocolate on the shore make the journey shorter). First-class service, breakfast is very good, smoked salmon and ham are made by themselves, the taste is very good, but the room meal is difficult to say 😭; Room hygiene is also an absolute standard. The floor of the light white bathroom, bathtub, shower, countertop, and anywhere can not find a trace of uncleanness. The cleaning waiter is still so haunted (like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); The bath is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, put it directly; basically, except for the expensive, there is nothing wrong with ~ I will consider living in Amsterdam next time.

There is an excellent hotel in a beautiful mansion on the Prinsengracht. The staff is very friendly and happy to take the time to answer all your questions. The room is beautifully decorated with a classic design that fits seamlessly with the historic ambiance of the building. The welcome drink in the attractive and intimate restaurant was much appreciated. In short, a wonderful experience.
Perfect location, Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, amazing breakfast.

Mmichellezhao1997It is well known that hotels in Europe are relatively small. The design of the hotel is very good. The bed is comfortable but it is really too small! The hotel is a bit old and I can't see the canal in the room where I lived. It's a bit sad.

XXINYUSmall hotels, stairs are really amazing, but it is estimated that small hotels in the center of Amsterdam are like this, it is really not recommended for leg inconvenience. Parking is not very convenient. Because I don’t know how to pay more than 60 euros for 24 hours, I have a big loss. It is said that it is free on the road at night, and it is not easy to park during the day. Nothing to say about the location in the city center, very convenient, the bed is really narrow

EErezCons: a lot of people traffic down the street. The Tram station is just under the Window which doesn't block any sound. Couldn't sleep at all and wouldn't have stayed another night.
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, and a spacious room. TV has Netflix casting option.

WWojianqingshanduowumeiXiao 🍠 I saw that Am Rosewood just opened on May 1, 25th, so I must come and experience it. The decoration belongs to the new European style, and girls must love it. The room floor is very high, although the area is not large, but it is more comfortable to live, and there is a bathtub to relieve the fatigue of a day of citywalk. Breakfast is a form of order, not a buffet, there are few choices. The younger brothers and sisters at the front desk, concierge, and restaurant are warm and thoughtful, and the value is high. It was a wonderful time.

GGuest UserLike other Amsterdam accommodations, the stairs are high and narrow, but the hotel staff has a service to carry luggage, so there was no big inconvenience in using the hotel. It is a good hotel at a low price.

SSteph3NO ELEVATOR, STEEP STAIRS! The people at reception were nice. I left my iPad by accident after checking out, called to see if housekeeping found it and someone from reception brought it down to me so I wouldn’t have to go up the stairs again, which I appreciated a lot. Room was tiny - enough room to walk in & leave a suitcase, then the bed took up the majority of the room, which I personally liked. Bathroom is odd - toilet at one end, sink in middle, and shower on other end without a curtain or anything, it’s just the shower head with a drain on the floor. Wouldn’t go to this hotel again for the stairs alone, otherwise (if you don’t mind steep stairs) it is a nice place to stay and in a good location.
