My stay at the Avani Museum Quarter Hotel was truly exceptional. The prime location near museums and the tram made exploring effortless, while the local charm of De Pijp added an authentic touch to my experience. The hotel's cleanliness and modern design were impressive, ensuring a comfortable stay. The well-equipped gym, though cozy, provided everything I needed for my workouts. Additionally, the convenience of bike parking right outside was a delightful perk. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Avani Museum Quarter Hotel for a trustworthy and positive stay, reflecting the best of what the city has to offer.
Spacious room and living area. Kitchen is fully equipped with almost all the cooking appliances you need, and there’s a big supermarket within 3mins walk. Very suitable for long stay and people who like a home feeling accommodation.
The whole design and concept of the hotel is delightful, they offer welcome drink for new customers and prepare a city/hotel guide book in room. Can tell the hotel put a lot of effort to make the place more comfortable.
The only issue we had was the water supply in shower, which can be a bit unsteady and boiling hot sometimes.
Firstly, the location is really good. It is near to both the NS train station (for convenient commute from airport) and the Metro station (for convenient commute to the city). Secondly, the breakfast offers good selection of food (the freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing). The option to exchange free drinks for skipping housekeeping is nice. Nice bar on top of the hotel and the service level is good. Next, the negative points: the room. Room is very small. The toilet doesn’t have shower screen door, so the water splashes everywhere when you shower; massive design failure. The ‘human’ bedhead design is a bit eerie and not so sleep-friendly as we felt like the ‘human art’ wall was constantly staring at us, making it uncomfortable to sleep in. Check-in process also took a bit of time, creating bottleneck for guests wanting to check out.

I recently stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel Zuidas during a business trip and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I checked in, the staff was welcoming and professional, ensuring a smooth start to my stay. The hotel's location in the Zuidas district is perfect for business travelers, with easy access to public transportation and close proximity to a variety of corporate offices.
I had an amazing stay! The environment was incredibly relaxing, with a calm and serene atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The service was top-notch—staff were always attentive, friendly, and eager to help. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering plenty of comfort throughout my stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience
Facilities: Good facilities. I have stayed here before.
Hygiene: Clean and sanitary, very good!
Environment: A distance from the central area, quiet and comfortable! ! !
Service: The English communication with the lady was smooth and very enthusiastic.
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The facilities were well-maintained and modern, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The room was spacious, clean, and had a cozy ambiance. We especially enjoyed the food, which was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we'd highly recommend this hotel to others looking for comfort and quality service.
Really enjoyed the stay!
It was on the cheaper side as it wasn’t the closest to Amsterdam Centraal. It was only a 17 minutes walk to Van Gogh museum and 19 minutes to Rijksmuseum. While I got two rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my parents, it definitely wasn’t wheelchair friendly. The stairs were steep to go on the higher floors so just keep in mind if you are on the older side or need extra help. Nonetheless, the rooms were spacious and comfy for two nights. We did not get breakfast as it was 17.5 euros per pax. Would definitely come back here again!
Last time I did not like the room I got.
When I checked in this time I said I was disappointed with the room a couple of
months ago. Then this time
I received a lovely room on the 2nd floor because I told them I wanted a room as low as possible.
All the staff were very friendly and helpfull.
The situation of the hotel for me is excellent and the best thing they have a garage.
The temperature in the rooms could have been warmer. During summer the air-conditioner could not be shut down.

MMINGMINGThe hotel is located in an absolutely noble area of Amsterdam, the National Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, the City Museum...all within easy reach; the big-fashioned pchoft famous street is turning at the hotel...AH supermarket, century-old bakery, net red restaurant seafood Bar, near the city can enjoy the prosperity of the city, but also away from the noisy tourists. The building itself is a masterpiece. The old Royal Postal Bank and the Gloomy Academy have been renewed on the basis of the original. The collision of different building materials forms an interesting contrast. Nature, people and cities are here. I contacted the hotel before the store. I prepared the room at noon. The housekeeping performance was soso, but the front desk was very good. The questions about the city can be received, including the reservation of the restaurant. The size of the room is absolutely wide in the size of the inch, and the size of the bathroom is extravagant. Back at the hotel in the evening, the street is not disturbed by tourists, only the cool windy night wind, and warm yellow lights, like
GGuest UserNice location, between Van Gogh Museum and the Hoofstraat (the luxury goods stores) , 1 minute walk away. Transportation is convenient. The room is clean, quite and comfortable, in particular with Slippers and USB-C power socket provided, which are in good sense of convenience for international travelers. Breakfast is the typical continental style with fried eggs, bacon and cheeses. It is the best choice for the next trip.
GGuest UserWe had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam.
GGuest UserThe booking with Trip paid EUR 135.00. At the hotel I had to pay Euro 225, of which Euro 50 was a deposit. So that is not correct. There is a difference of 40 euros. I would never have paid Euro 175 for this room. Hopefully I can get the difference back from Trip.
About 10:30 p.m. the fire alarm went off. A few giggling ladies could be heard over the intercom. After standing outside for 5 minutes, everyone went back inside. No explanation was given. Someone was already pouring a beer at the bar. I thought that was very special. Fortunately, there was no burning smell and the fire brigade was not alerted. Anyway, it still scares you.
VViviLeon”Park Plaza is a highly recommended hotel. From the moment we arrived, we experienced exceptional service. The rooms were impeccably clean and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Being conveniently located near TRAM and bus stations made getting around the city a breeze.
We particularly enjoyed dining at the Italian restaurant onsite, where we indulged in delicious meals. Additionally, having complimentary water, coffee, and tea in the room added a thoughtful touch to our stay. Overall, our experience at Park Plaza exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly return for another visit.”
GGuest UserWonderful hotel in a quite area near beautiful and large park. Very helpful, friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean amenities and really creative design. Opportunity to play various video games and board games. In general, amazing sphere!
GGuest UserVery nice and quiet area, 30 minutes walk to the center. Not far from the airport. Everything is great, staff, cleanliness, amenities. There is a coffee machine in the room, you can ask for a kettle. I recommend 100% Attention, the hotel does not accept cash, only cards.
GGuest UserHotel is located in very beautiful peaceful area of the city, still accessible to the center by public transport. Personnel was really friendly, but the rooms are too small. Certainly, that is rather cheap accommodation, but there are definitely problems with cleanness of the beds and carpets. Pillows and blankets were not really fresh.
GGuest UserThe hotel is close to the Rijksmuseum and only two stops from the Central Station by subway. It is the first time in Europe that a deposit is required upon check-in. The room is arranged on the top floor of the fifth floor. The stairs are narrow and steep, and it is difficult to carry luggage up and down. It is very hot during the day and there is no air conditioning. There is a cool breeze outside the window in the morning and evening, which is manageable. There is not even a chair in the room. The room fee is 700-800 RMB per day. It is not a waste of money to invest in adding necessary facilities.
