위치가 좋아 이번 유럽 여행 8개 호텔중 가장 비싸게 예약했다. 6시가 조금 넘어 체크인을 했는데 받은 방은 악몽 그 자체였다.
처음 발견한 것은 미니바로 사용되는 객실 냉장고였는데 문을 여니 물이 주루룩 떨어졌다. 깜짝 놀라 전화했더니 전화는 안되어 데스크로 뛰어내려갔다. 직원이 함께 올라와서 봤는데 망가진게 뻔한 그 냉장고가 작동 한다며 청소만 해주겠단다. 그때 방을 바꿔달라고 했어야 하는데 직원의 태도가 너무 불쾌하고 지쳐서 그러라고 했다. 5분-10분내로 온다는 직원은 아무리 기다려도 오지 않아 밥을 먹고 돌아왔는데, 돌아오니 물은 치웠지만 냉장고 문이 비뚤어져서 가구 문이 완전히 닫히지 않는 상태였다. 너무 화가났지만, 냉장고는 안쓰면 되니까 그냥 있기로 하고 짐을 풀었다.
짐을 다풀고 쉬려는데... 최악의 상황이 나왔다. 개미가 침대위를 기어다니고 있었다. 묻어온건가 해서 한마리를 치웠는데 여기저기 수많운 개미가 침대를 기어다니고 있었다. 숱하게 여행 다녔지만 내평생 이런 호텔은 처음이었다. 데스크로 뛰어내려가서 사진을 보여주며 항의했고 결국 방을 바꾸게 되었다.
바꾼 방은 문제가 없었는데 바꾸고 보니 처음 받은 방이 얼마나 엉망이었는지 알게 되었다. 미니바도 채워지지 않았고 화장실에 빈통이 뭔가했더니 면봉이나 해어캡등 용품이 있어야 하는 통도 비어있었고 유리잔도 부족하고 나이프와 접시도 없었다. 옮기고 나니 더 화가나고 어떻게 그런 방을 줄수 있는지 이햐가 되지 않았다.
방이 그런 상태인걸 몰랐다면 관리문제일텐데 그 비싼 호텔이 이렇게 밖에 못한다니 한심하고, 아니라면 인종차별을 당한건가 하는 합리적 의심이 든다. 세금에 주차비까지 하루에 50만원 가까이 지불한 호텔에서 이따위 방을 받았다니 지금도 분노가 치민다. 다음날 방문에 사과 카드를 끼워두었던데 그딴 것으로 무마가 될걸로 생각하는건지.
리뷰는 좋은 말 써줄 때만 했는데 이 호탤은 너무 심했다 .

We had a pleasant stay at Park Central Amsterdam. Top location, in the centre, nearby most of the must do and see locations.
The staff was friendly and we got lucky with a nice free upgrade.

I had a very pleasant stay. Big room for Amsterdam at a perfect spot. Nice bed and Good free coffee in the room is a big +.
