Great location in central Amsterdam, comfy bed and cute decor. The room was a bit cramped (no place to put a suitcase except the floor), but modern bath facilities. Our main critique: 2 of my daughter’s gold rings disappeared from the nightstand while we were out our first day, with only housekeeping entering the room. Front desk staff acted disinterested in our complaint but asked me to email the manager (which I immediately did), and I requested no further room service for the remainder of our stay. I can’t prove that one of their housekeepers is a thief, but I am 100% certain that the hotel management has no interest in responding to such guest concerns. It’s a week later and I’ve yet to receive a return call or email, and we’ve since returned home. A bit of a costly lesson for my daughter to use the in-room safe.

As far as a cheaper hotel goes it was a room to sleep in. The bedding and room were a wee bit disinfected smelling. Towels small and hard. Shower room polished floor just an accident waiting to happen. Central and a room to put your head down with lovely view of the canal.

We lasted one out of our 4 nights booked in this hotel. While the location is good, the rooms are tiny and not like those shown on hotel website. We could barely open our suitcases in the room. The curtains are almost see-through, so in June, where the sun sets at 10pm and rises at 5am, we got very little sleep. The staff were not very friendly either. Very disappointed. Would not go back there again.

The Bird Hotel is in a prime spot in Amsterdam, overlooking a beautiful canal. The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable, and the self-serve coffee machine excellent. Lots of restaurants nearby. It’s clean, tidy, and the staff are warm—especially a kind Nepali lady who made our wedding anniversary feel truly special. We'd stay again!

I had bad experience, one of staff was rude and he is not professional, he was keep knock the door and ask me for check out , when I told him I will come down , he said quickly because the housekeeper want to clean room . I pay 20 eur for key when I ask him why he said I have to return key , When I ask him for regulation of hotel he said it conmen sense we don’t need to explained to you every thing . I pay it and he didn’t give me receipt. ,I don’t recommend this hotel ,because they are not professional

Abbiamo dovuto annullare il viaggio per problemi di salute di mio figlio. Ho chiesto alla struttura di poter avere un rimborso, un voucher o il cambio delle date. Il manager mi ha risposto che pur potendolo fare non lo voleva fare! Dove sta il rispetto delle persone???

Les plus : localisation et ménage quotidien avec changement des serviettes Les moins : une odeur de détergent dans la chambre très gênante , une taille de salle de bain réduite ( on peut à peine s’y habiller), un tarif élevé pour un service minimum : pas de bouteille d’eau, qualité médiocre des gels douches et shampoing

Good location/room, staff need attitude adjustment
The room and hotel location were great. The staff was hit and miss. The older gentleman and the lady were friendly and helpful, but the two young men were not helpful, and downright rude with bad attitudes.
