After reading terrible reviews were very dubious about our stay here. Although rooms where quite warm, your provided with 2 fans and windows do open. Acceptably clean, and rooms cleaned every day. No bed bugs at all, fairly comfy and big enough for a city break. Walls a little thin but not a big problem at all. At the end of the day didn’t spend much time in the room apart from sleeping! Nice and affordable and lovely staff!

The room stinks, even if you open the window to the so called outside. Bathroom is dire, mouldy shower curtian, cracked sink, no plug in the bath. Room is red hot even though its cool outside. No cooling system other than noisy fan. The staff are really friendly and try their best. The reception area is lovely, and teh coffee is great. Even got good WiFi

What would have been the perfect quirky, boutique relatively reasonably priced hotel (€465/2nighttwinroom) with lovely canal view was ruined by bed bugs! Great location, labouring lift, poky but characteristic rooms, was a perfect tourist base aside from getting bitten at night. ☹️

I am extremely disappointed with this hotel and its management. During my stay, I found bites all over my body from bedbugs after the first night of sleeping in the hotel. A doctor confirmed these bites were indeed from bedbugs and not mosquitos as initially thought. I did not stay anywhere else during my trip, so the source was definitely this hotel. Upon returning to my country, I immediately sent a complaint to the reception. They assured me that my complaint would be forwarded to the management team, who would get back to me. It has now been two weeks, and I have received no response. To make matters worse, I brought the bedbugs back to my new flat and had to hire a specialized company to remove them. This was a costly and stressful process. The lack of communication and concern from the hotel's management is utterly unacceptable. I strongly suspect that my experience is not unique and that the hotel frequently fails to respond to guests who have encountered similar issues. This negligence suggests a systemic problem with bedbugs in the hotel, which is deeply concerning. I will never stay at this hotel again and strongly advise others to avoid it as well

Lovely central location and friendly staff but the rooms are like shoe boxes,£170 per night and zero sleep due to the water pipes and elephants in the room above coming home at 4am in the morning, would love to visit Amsterdam again but would avoid this hotel, could not fault the cleanliness but really need to supply double duvets instead of on to share per bed

Excellent location, fantastic staff, beautiful canal frontage room on the 2nd floor. Rooms are a little on the small side but out and about during the day. No breakfast but plenty of options very close by. Short walks to all the major attractions Amsterdam has to offer

Decent Hotel for 2* rating. 20min walk from Train station. The room was very small but clean & had everything we needed as we only slept & showered there. Unlimited Coffee in a cosy reception area. The Staff were very polite & helpful at all times. Bars just up the Street were nice too.

Book this place for the location (you’re not going to be in your room much anyway!). It’s easily walkable to the Anne Frank House (about 20 min down the street) and to the Van Gogh Museum and Vondel Park. The amenities are basic and rooms/bathrooms are small but it’s clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and had free coffee/tea and fruit in the lobby. There’s a bakery with delicious appelflappen (and other pastries) just down the block (right by the tram stop) and a breakfast place called Eggs Benaddicted nearby that was lively and had friendly staff.
