We had a pleasant overall experience at the Prinsengracht Hotel. The location is excellent — very central, with many of Amsterdam’s main attractions within walking distance. Despite this, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. Our room was spacious by Amsterdam standards and we loved the view from the large windows – it really added something special to the experience. Breakfast was decent – nothing exceptional, but sufficient to start the day. One minor issue was the bed arrangement. We had booked a room with two single beds, but they were placed so close together that they felt like one bed. When we asked at reception about this, we were told that their definition of 'two single beds' simply means two separate mattresses, not necessarily with any space between them. This could be misleading if you're expecting clearly separated beds, so it's worth clarifying in advance. Overall, it’s a good choice for those looking for a quiet, centrally located hotel with spacious rooms and a nice view.

Het vuilste hotel waar ik ooit ben geweest!! Oordopjes van de vorige mensen zaten in ons bed nog en allemaal haar, kruimels, vuil etc. Douche was beschimmeld. We vroegen voor nieuwe lakens en properheid en moesten alles zelf oplossen. Er was niemand ter beschikking om ons te helpen enkel een oude man die geen Nederlands kon. We hebben geen oog dicht gedaan. We eisten een vergoeding of een terugbetaling op ten minste maar dit kregen we niet!! Ze waren super onvriendelijk en onbegripvol

Perfecto !! Hermoso hotel a pocas cuadras del centro y rodeado de barrios repletos de restos de todo tipo. Muy buen desayuno y una calidez increíble de parte de su personal, siempre dispuesto a solucionar las inquietudes además los pasajeros

Hotel looks very well presented from the inside and cosy reception area, plus big garden area out the back. Good value for money. Single room small but not claustrophobically so, and nice view over hotel gardens. Good location. Everything clean and staff were efficient and friendly. Small fridge and safe in the room, and shampoo, body lotion and shower gel/soap provided. Not sure why there's so many bad reviews. There is also a lift. Thanks for a nice stay!

We booked 3 nights with this hotel. The whole experience was terrible. We paid 450 euros for 3 nights. The rooms at the rear were dusty, full of flies. The attitude of the receptionist was disrespectful. At check out he added 5 euros for water, while other receptionist always said it was complimentary for residents. What a con, unprofessional attitude. I would not recommend anyone to stay there!

Please don't book this hotel. The loft room we got was very dusty. When we opened the window the flies and pigeons would come into the room. When we asked to change the room the receptionist was extremely rude even though we paid 250 euros a night!. Very unprofessional and unmannered person.
