Great service in this beautiful canal facing hotel. It’s a very old building so be prepared for the steep staircase! The service was good with free coffee and tea in the reception area along with maps. Staff are friendly

A nice play to stay right in the heart of The Nine Streets. We had a view of the canal which was wonderful. There was complimentary champagne and other beverages in our room and there is coffee and snacks in the lobby for guests. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. We were on the second floor and the stairs are steep with no elevator. The hotel offers first floor rooms if walking up the stairs is difficult. Overall, a nice stay and we would return!

Pros: Location! Friendly and helpful staff. Quality of snacks at the reception. Stayed with family (5 people in 3 bedrooms). No noise concerns. Kitchenette and laundry worked well. Needs improvement: Cleanliness (dust bunnies under cupboards). Add a tea towel and dish rag to the kitchen suite. Extra mirrors in rooms (the bathroom had the ONLY mirror in the apartment). Lighting (quite dim in kitchen and living room). Vreemd: Niemand in dit hotel spreekt Nederlands en Engels gaat ook niet zo vlot. Het begrip van theedoek en vaatdoekje kwam niet bekend voor. It wouldn't take much to bring this hotel from fine to great, but someone has to care. Where is the management?
