Stayed at this beautiful hotel for two nights on our way home from a European vacation. The location is idyllic - walkable to most of the tourist sites and easy access to the metro to get onto the train for the airport. It was so lovely to stay on the canal and walk out of the hotel each morning to the fabulous view of the iconic streets. The staff are friendly and helpful - they really know how to make guests feel valued and welcome. The rooms are elegant - ours was a triple with tall ceilings, fluffy pillows and comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but very clean. Great water pressure/temp. Heated floor and towel racks are a nice touch. Thank you to the Ambassade team. We will definitely be back!

L'hôtel est splendide et très bien situé pour visiter la ville. Nous avons tout fait à pied. Superbe vue sur le canal. La chambre est spacieuse et le lit confortable. Nous avons également testé le restaurant que nous recommandons +++. Un excellent séjour à Amsterdam.

We loved our stay here- the location, room and team at Ambassade were all wonderful and we cannot sing its praises enough! The canal view rooms have a lovely atmosphere and it’s so peaceful to watch the world go by outside the window while taking in the view! We ordered some room service and the cocktails and bitterballen were delicious! All of the team were very kind and professional, and even helped to ensure our room was ready early on very late notice as our train arrived ahead of schedule. One of the best things about our stay was the bed- it was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and for the rest of our holiday we compared every bed to the one at Ambassade- none have measured up so far!! This hotel is so special- I would highly recommend staying there and cannot wait to go back!

We have traveled worldwide, and your staff were the friendliest, most helpful, and thoughtful people we have ever encountered during our stays. My wife and I have fortunately travelled extensively in our seventy years together. If we were forced to name our favorite hotel, it would be the Ambassade. The library, with hundreds of autographed books, is a gem (a European cousin to the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok). The Herengracht Canal is the most beautiful and the STAFF IS THE BEST ON EARTH! Why? They wrote genuine responses to our questions, suggested restaurants and the Amsterdam app needed to book them easily, arranged a boat trip etc etc. It was as if the promise of social media and technology finally happened with a hotel staff- that they would communicate directly with each customer easily! Stay at the Ambassade!

I had been wanting to stay at the Ambassade Hotel since our last trip to Amsterdam in 2023, when there was no availability. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. While the canal location is great, the staff are friendly and there is a nice library bar, the room was very disappointing. I would have expected a little more luxury out of a 4 star hotel, especially for the price. The biggest issue was that the bed was lumpy (missing springs in many places). We were given a room at the top of the property (steep spiral staircase to access) so was very small compared to the photo's on the website for the Deluxe Canal View Room.

My spouse and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 day stay at this lovely centrally located canal side hotel. Our room was large and gracious with a very comfortable bed, roomy sitting area, in-room coffee and tea service, and daily full breakfast, all very much appreciated. The staff was consistently cheerful, helpful, and genuinely helpful and kind. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Excellent location in the heart of the canal belt. Staff highly welcoming, attentive and helpful (thank you Lorraine). Hotel itself is charming, historic, has picturesque view of canal. Bar in Art & book collection area enhanced stay. Walkable to trams, restaurants, shopping and other sites. Room was extremely comfortable, clean and charming. Thank you to management staff for making my husband feel so special as we celebrated his 60th birthday. I highly recommend this amazing hotel.

The hotel is so well appointed and stylish. The location is unparalleled. The staff were just so lovely and helpful. They made recommendations that were quality but also very on point for us - like they were able to really notice the person in front of them and read who we were and suggest activities/providers/ restaurants that fit us so well!
