The check-in stairs are very high. The staffs are not friendly. Not only that, we have to carry our luggage to another building with high stairs as well. And at night, we can't get a good rest because the noise from the next room is very loud. We can hear everything. Now, the only good thing is the location. Other than that, please find another hotel to stay.
I had a very pleasant 2 nights stay here. Staffs were friendly and very kind enough to let me change bed. They even offered welcome drinks. How nice! Dorms, toilets and showers were well kept and clean. Adequate storage spaces. Individual curtain for little privacy for each bed. Location wise, it was easy to commute from here to the center and airport and other tourists spots. It was very near to the Artis tram station, just around the corner. There was a nearby Metro station that was within walking distance (for me). I would say it is well connected. Would totally recommend for solo traveller that is looking for a nice hostel to stay. This would be it.

The service was very good, nice personnel at the front desk, the room was cleaned every day and so on.
Very good location near the city center and therefore I can kinda understand the price of the room etc
My room was on the 3rd floor, the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, not really a big deal but a bit weird.
Don't get me wrong, the room itself felt clean and fresh, nothing to complain about there besides that the shower pressure was insanly low, sometimes the water just stopped running at all during a shower...
But the big issue is the size of the room itself and what you get for over a €100 a night, I booked a single room for one person, and the room feels like it's built around the frame of the bed, the room is incredible small, smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the most expensive one as well.
The bathroom is so small that the toilet is placed just behind the sink so you barely have room to actually sit on the toilet, and the glass door to the shower can only be opened on one side... the side where the sink is so you have about 30cm of room to get out of the shower because the sink is in the way...
Like I said, the room felt clean and fresh, but it is ridiculously small.
Overall a good stay, the room was good enough for sleeping in but for the size of the room and what you pay for it doesn't really add up, over a €100 a night for a room barely bigger than the bed itself is kinda weird.

Excellent location, close to Central Station, many shops and restaurants around the hotel. Steep stairs but manageable, recommended for light travellers. We booked the New renovated room, nice design and spacious for two people. Nice staffs, but need to leave the room key every time when you leave the hotel…but the room cleaning need to be improved…found that stains/dirts are on the toilet seat/ dusts on the bedding/ no refilling of the tea bags…overall it is a nice stay in Amsterdam

I ended up choosing a room without a window, but the room and the bathroom were clean and nice. There was free coffee and tea, and hot water was also available, but eating in the room was prohibited. The shower had plenty of hot water.
There is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, be careful.

To check in or drop off baggage prior to check in, it is required that everyone climb thirty-seven (37) of the steepest, narrowest, and most treacherous stairs I’ve ever seen in my life.
No elevators.
This place is located in the tourist district, near shops, restaurants, and the famous scenic canals of Amsterdam.

A basic, clean hotel but very tiny rooms. Quite tough to carry luggage as no elevator- common to such type of properties. Helpful staff and friendly. Convenient location.

The room was small with very little room for baggage and no easy access power points for chargers etc
The room was on second floor with noise from the street on Saturday night till early hours and Sunday was less
But I can sleep anywhere
They do provide earbuds 😊
The location was great tram to central station 100m around the corner
10 minutes walk from Rokin metro

XXINYUSmall hotels, stairs are really amazing, but it is estimated that small hotels in the center of Amsterdam are like this, it is really not recommended for leg inconvenience. Parking is not very convenient. Because I don’t know how to pay more than 60 euros for 24 hours, I have a big loss. It is said that it is free on the road at night, and it is not easy to park during the day. Nothing to say about the location in the city center, very convenient, the bed is really narrow
GGuest UserThe location is just across the street from Amsterdam Central Station. This should be one of the core areas of Eminem. The front entrance of the hotel is small and inconspicuous. You have to find it by the number of the house. There is only a small door, and then you enter the front door on the second floor.
I think this hotel should be a little old, it looks old, the shower head is rusty, and the radiators in the room are all dusty. The single room on the top floor that I live in actually feels like a loft. The room is small, but considering the location is so convenient, the facilities can be ignored. Anyway, there are some.
Needless to say the geographical location, I only stayed one night in Emu for a transfer, so I picked this very close to the train station and walked to the station in a few minutes. I searched the Internet and found that the red light district was next to me. When I was all right at night, I walked around and looked around. It was very close. There are all shops downstairs in the hotel, but to buy things early, in December it feels that they are almost closed at around 10pm.
The only thing to vomit is that the stairs are too difficult to climb. . The long and narrow staircase came up to the front desk on the second floor. Then my room was on the fifth floor. All the way up was a very narrow and steep staircase, with a rotating, dragging a dozen kilograms of boxes. Taking a stop for a while, they were tortured. They also did not have an elevator, and there was a fork in the stairs on the same floor. If you did n’t pay attention to seeing the number and sign in the wrong direction, it would not work. So if you have a large suitcase, consider it carefully. Basically qualified in other respects.

GGuest UserWonderful place for a quick stay, the room is small, but it has all necessary things. Location is just perfect, at one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam
GGuest UserExcellent location to move around Amsterdam on foot. Plus canal view with Westerkerk church!
Breakfast nothing special (croissants with jams or bread with cheeses + coffee or orange juice).
Old fashioned, but nice decor.
Good value for money, I recommend it :)
