What a gem! 🌟 The accommodation, the breathtaking views, the food, and the activities were all incredible — but what really stood out was the staff. They were fun, attentive, and constantly went the extra mile to make our stay special. Nico, the owner and his wife Ella, are a phenomenal hosts and fantastic storytellers, their energy and hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. Highly, highly recommended — can’t wait to be back!

Beautiful resort, its a hidden gem. Calm, fantastic nature, relaxed atmosphere. The properties are amazing, but you are also welcome if you just go there during the day. Great Italian cuisine, for very good price. You can chill, play board games or try yoga twice a day. The owners are so lovely and helpful people which you rarely see. Highly recommended.

Whisky Point Resort is truly a corner of paradise. From the first moment we arrived, Anna and Nicola welcomed us with so much warmth and care that we immediately felt at home. During our stay we didn’t just meet amazing hosts — we found true friends. On our last night we even shared a wonderful dinner together, and saying goodbye the next day was genuinely hard. It’s rare to find people so kind, thoughtful, and authentic, and we’ll always treasure the memories we made here. Their staff is just as wonderful — polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The food deserves a special mention: absolutely divine! The chef is truly talented, and every meal was a joy we looked forward to each day. The setting itself is breathtaking — a peaceful paradise surrounded by nature, away from the chaos of Arugam Bay but close enough for a quick tuk-tuk ride if you want to visit. It really is the best of both worlds: tranquility and beauty with easy access to everything. Thank you Anna and Nicola for opening your doors (and your hearts) to us. We left with full bellies, big smiles, and the sadness of leaving behind not just a beautiful resort, but amazing people who made our trip unforgettable. We can’t recommend Whisky Point Resort enough — it’s a place we’ll never forget and can’t wait to return to. 💛

Recommended for the more adventurous who want to chill by the beach or take up surfing. They have very comfortable cabanas at the top of the beach where you can lounge all day and summon food and drinks from the waiters using WhatsApp! We stayed here on a B&B basis, but as it was so easy and reasonably priced we ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant as well. The food is Italian themed and pretty good. The fruit provided for the breakfasts (papaya, watermelon, banana and pineapple) was just as great as everywhere else we experienced in Sri Lanka. The accommodation was quite rustic, with a double bed in a wooden hut on stilts and reed blinds. They provided a mosquito net and a fan. The toilets and shower block are shared, but I never had to wait for anyone. A pesky crow stole the plastic bag containing my antibiotics out of the room. Luckily for me, it was handed in to the restaurant where I found that I was down three tablets of amoxicillin! We didn't really explore the area, just remaining in the resort for the two nights we were there. Swimming in the sea here was divine but note that the waves are strong (hence the attraction for surfers).

Arrived early and I was accomodate until my room was ready Location was beautiful and I wish it was there for pleasure rather than work …and had more time to soak up the hospitality sun and surf I hope to back and this time with the family to enjoy island style life at whiskey point 😊 Thanks to all the staff 🙏

Immerse yourself in the experience, it is not just a place to stay - 1. Workout and ice bath with Roderick ( sorry ladies, he doesn’t get in the bath with you ) 2. Surf - they do packages 3. Eat there - food is great and vibe awesone 4. Mix with staff - they are great 5. Play games

Best stay in the whole of Sri Lanka. The staff and the food are truely amazing!! Would highly reccomend. The beach is very nice and chill, overall great experience.
