The hotel is well placed in a pleasant area , few minutes from station . The staff are extremely helpful . I would recommend choosing a room with a shower ( which is a very modern walk-in facility ). Breakfast is satisfactory and one can choose from ' express ' or ' full ' which is a good idea with a significant price difference . All in all a good experience .

The hotel is very old and has been here for a very long time which explains some of the maintenance issues. The lobby was decently sized but there was only one lift which is not great for big groups. The room was hard to open and the lock was sometimes not working. The room was quite small, but each room on the level was of different size. The desk was small, but the bathroom in our room was quite big. There was an ok view from the room. It was good that it had a kettle and water. The breakfast place had quite a bit of food and the hot chocolate was good.

L'accueil est très chaleureux et très propre. Pour une nuit la chambre standard convient parfaitement bien. Le petit déjeuner libre service est très correct. L'emplacement de l'hôtel en face la gare et au centre des curiosités est très apprécié.

The Grand Hôtel de l'Univers is located on a pedestrian-only street in center of Amiens, very conveniently located a very short walk from the train station. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the bathroom appeared recently-renovated. The rest of our room, and the common areas, however, were a bit more worn, and a little renovation wouldn't go amiss. WiFi was available, free, and it worked well. Our room was not air conditioned, which didn't matter much during our stay (September) but might be uncomfortable in mid-summer. The front desk staff were bilingual, very welcoming, friendly, and went out of their way to help us. Overall, I'd give it a grade of A for location, A+ for the staff, and a B- for the overall condition of the facilities.

Proche de la gare et dans la rue piétonne. Accueil très sympathique Petite chambre moquette très sale. Literie correcte Salle de bains des années 1960 produits minimalistes Petit déjeuner moyen avec un personnel souriant. 70 € la nuit ça ne vaut pas plus…m

A group of four stayed here for a weekend of cycling in the local area. The hotel is in a great central location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome. Breakfast good. Rooms very clean with comfortable beds. Would recommend.

We chose this hotel using a gift voucher from our son. On check in we were advised the hotel was full due to the rugby and the room we were allocated although not the best it did have a balcony. We entered and could not believe the state of the carpet. The bathroom needed complete replacement. Balcony seemed unsafe to stand on. Bed linen was fresh and clean. All staff pleasant. Breakfast buffet good with nice coffee. Refuse room 22 until completely refurbished. .

Très bel hôtel traditionnel au centre d'Amiens. Immeuble de caractère, intérieur avec beaucoup de charme. Grande chambre entourée de balcons sur 2 façades. Bonne literie. Accueil professionnel et souriant. Petits déjeuners très satisfaisants. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Parking payant à 5 mn à pied (13€ journée).
