TRAVELODGE AMESBURY STONEHENGE

I had stayed here before and didn't leave a review because I had nothing nice to say. What a difference this time. Alison at the reception desk greeted us with a smile and when I asked for the ground floor, away from the car park, more towels, more tea and coffee I was greeted each time with a desire to please. I slept in the annexe building and this was superior to my last room. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Local spot and good place to use as a base for local walks and visits , easy to find , good selection of local fast food outlets on site.

Stayed here to go to paultons park which was around 30 mins away. Lovely and clean, staff were amazing on arrival and checking out, very helpful, lovely clean hotel, easy to find, lots of parking, greggs on site is always a winner to.

Clean and well equiped modern room. The staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble. Alison was so helpful with my multiple requests. Even though it is in a mini service area it was quite and surrounded by trees. We had a very pleasant stay

The car park is not designated to Travel lodge, you share it with the services. Small parking spaces. My car was damaged while in this car park that is going to cost a fortune, NO CCTV. Dirty filthy bathroom, hair in bath, a pair of used contact lenses on the sink! The smell of people smoking through the windows that open just enough to get a hand out, all night the smell was horrible. Shut windows but too hot. A fan was left which was covered in dust and absolutely useless. It smelt of fresh paint in the hallway but none of that has been done in the rooms, dark & dingy. Worst Travel lodge, it needs air con as the noise of the services and bikes racing up and down all night meant windows had to be closed, on the hottest weekend of the year! It’s cheap for a reason ! If you want damage to your car, no sleep and like sleeping in a sauna, this is the place for you.

During my recent stay here it was nice to be greeted by such friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were clean and love the beds as very comfy and able to stretch out in, shame can not have one at home. Also very conveniently located for access to road links and only a short walk into Amesbury. If you need a place when travelling would highly recommend this hotel
