When arriving to the hotel the front desk guy was absolutely amazing friendly and kind
But when leaving the front desk girl was not helpful at all.
I love the view
Unfortunately we didn’t have a car because it broke in the high way so we couldn’t stay Sunday and took an Uber to go back because nobody help us really at renting a car or something.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfy. The breakfast was good and hot, better than most free breakfasts. Staff was very helpful. Small pool.

Was a really good hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was pretty decent and being walking distance to beach was perfect. The room was a little dated and bulb was out but otherwise perfect for a 3 bed family with the pull out sofa bed.

We stayed for two nights with Southwest points and had zero complaints. Amazing location one block from the beach. We had a first floor room and we're pleasantly surprised to have an ocean view which was an added bonus. So if that's important, then ask for this when booking because it's available. Our room was clean and really quiet overall. We did not use, however they do have a free breakfast and then also have bikes to rent which is a nice feature. The location is great. We walked to dinner both nights. They are also very close to shopping and restaurants in downtown Amelia Island. It is a super nice area and would recommend based on our experience.

A visit that left a very bad taste in the mouth. We asked if they'd accept a small package delivered in our name and followed all of their guidelines. The package was delivered but lost by Front Desk. We stayed 4 nights and despite asking repeatedly where the manager was, he never appeared to speak to us! They did refund us the parking fee (beware, they charge for that), which represented just over half of the value of the package. My follow up emails to the manager askig about the rest went UNANSWERED. Perhaps he'd like to respond on this page to explain why? Additionally, for 3 mornings there were no forks for guests to eat the buffet breakfast. Everyone improvised with spoons, knives and hands. 'The order of plastic forks' hasn't arrived' was the reply. Can't someone show some initiative, drive to the nearest shop that sells plastic cutlery and buy sufficient to cover the guests' needs? Well, not at Surf & Sand.

Ok Stay Near the Beach
It’s a beach hotel, not far from the beach. Nice skatepark close by for the kids. Not as clean of a hotel as we’d hoped. Sofa had hair and stains. Shower wasn’t the cleanest nor were the beds. Beds were not that comfortable but nice enough place for one night.
