What a gem of a place! Ideally located for the bars and restaurants in Ambleside and at the same time ideally situated for exploring the area on foot or by local bus. We had a beautiful room with a large bed and plenty of space. Everything was just perfect. The breakfast was excellent and our every whim catered for. The packed lunch was very well put together and great value for money. Ordered the night before at the same time as the breakfast and was ready for our adventures in the morning. Mandy and Aid were great and helped us with routes and suggestions of sightseeing. They were very friendly and welcoming.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after by Aidie and Mandy. Our room was a small double, which was ample for our stay. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was fantastic and there was an excellent choice. The fresh fruit and yogourt was my favourite. I would definitely recommend Brantfell if you want a reasonably priced B&B.

Lovely stay at Brantfell. Perfect location in Ambleside. Adie and Mandy were excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful. They had plenty of recommendations for the local area. Rooms were immaculate and cosy. Great breakfast, merci. Jordan & Lauren

What's not to like!
Our visit was superb from start to finish. Great location. Room was immaculate, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast tasty and ample. The hosts were friendly, very approachable, couldn't do enough for us. Can't recommend Brantfell enough. We'll definitely be back.

The hosts Mandy & Aide were amazing. Nothing was a trouble & they made us feel really welcome, giving us the best info where to go & what to see. Rooms are spotless & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious & set us up for the day. We will definitely go back.
