Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye

I read reviews before booking and thought, ooh, that person is probably overreacting. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! The smell is absolutely terrible and ruins the entire experience. You may see 2 people make in the pool because no one wants to be out there with that smell. Beautiful property and comfortable rooms. Do not like that there are no channels to watch. You can stream however most apps will not allow access because of being out of the U.S. They bill you in US dollars which is not common there. All of the places we visited billed us in their money. Realized when I arrived back home that I paid $44 USD for a plate of food. Berry and Captain Leon/Harry were amazing making you feel welcomed.

We LOVE this place. From the moment you arrive, the sweetest Margaritaville guys are there to greet you with sincere happiness and will make sure you get to the boat that takes you up to the resort. The boat ride is fun and beautiful. When you arrive to the Margaritaville dock you are greeted by more happy faces and a very welcoming vibe. The rooms are perfectly clean. The patios are spacious, all with big comfy Adirondack chairs. We were excited to see the rooms have been upgraded since our last stay with better coffee makers - Nespresso! The restaurant/bars are all wonderful - we would rate every food/drink five star. Having your own quiet peaceful beach is amazing. There is great snorkeling right off the dock and at the neighboring restaurant - Tranquility Bay! If you scuba dive, the resort partners with White Sands Dive Shop and diving is made easy - we loved it all.

The resort is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and the staff is wonderful. There are two large swimming pools, one with a swim- up bar and the other more secluded in the back. The location is unique, next to a natural preserve and a turtle nesting area. We will return soon!

Traveled to Ambergris Caye, Belize and Margaritaville Resort the first of April for 10 days. We fell in love with the island and the resort. It is an incredibly beautiful place, a bit remote but amazing in all ways. The people of Belize and the staff at our resort were warm, fun, professional, accommodating, and so incredible to be around. At the resort everything has a personal touch and is top notch - they know your name, they provide awesome service, from the moment of arrival until you they deliver you to the airport to depart, they greet you daily, ask for insights and opinions on services and go out of their way to make it a visit you wont forget. Our accommodations were clean, the rooms exceeded our expectations, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the value was priceless. We loved the relaxation, the adventures, the fishing, snorkeling, and kayaking. It was a place we plan to return to. I want to give a special and heartfelt thank you to Shawn, Ken, Flora, Berry, Jerry, Captain Salvador, Lori and the rest of the amazing staff (the list of names to long to mention) that made our trip exceptional and will be there to make yours exceptional as well. With out a doubt the best vacation I have been on in 15+ years. Pulling up to the resort in a boat we were greeted by the general manager and another employee offering cold scented washcloths to refresh ourselves with on a warm evening. The accommodations were clean and spacious offering modern decor and amenities. There was so much to choose from to do including beautiful pool, relaxing beach, bicycles, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and pickell ball to name a few. The dining menues offered a wide variety of selections with tasty, quality food. The staff at this resort was impeccable and impressive from the concierge to the wait staff, bartenders, grounds keepers to housekeeping. Everone was so kind and accommodating Special thanks to Shawn, Ken, Barry, Jerry, Flora and Lori for making it such a memorable trip. Already looking forward to the next visit!

The staff was beyond amazing. Very personable and attentive! Flor, Allen and Jerry made sure our every needs were met! The pool and swim up bar were great additions to the property. Room cleanliness was top notch! Definitely coming back again!
