Zante Dolphin

The couple running the bar were absolutely brilliant! Couldn’t do enough for people! Food and drink were both lovely and plenty of choice. Pool and rooms were clean and fresh HOWEVER-letting it down drastically was the area used to get ready when you’ve checked out of your room….filthy dirty, not fit for purpose and the attitude of the owner/manager when asked about it was disgusting! Her manner matched the stinking room!!! Let the little gem of a place down badly!

Just back home from staying at the zante dolphin for 2 weeks. Family of four staying in a 2 bed apartment looking over the pool. Apartments are spacious and clean. Swimming pool area is perfect. Fotis and ioanna who run the pool bar are lovely. Will be back next year!

Solo trip, 36 year old male. Was looking for a relaxing trip and Zante Dolphin provided exactly that. Accommodation was around half hour transfer from the airport (direct). I had booked 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. The property was very clean and upkeep was good - the cleaners do a great job. Be aware for 2 bedroom apartment the air con is an extra charge of 105 euros for the week - would have liked the option to pay for just one unit as I was staying myself. If you book a studio apartment it’s just 50 euros for the air con. Use of of the safe is also 20 euros for the week Kitchen had a fridge/freezer, kettle and electric hob along with cutlery/plates etc. I only used the kettle. Unsure if tap water was drinkable but bottled water is extremely cheap. Bedrooms are a decent size with 2 single beds that can become double pushed together. Towels are provided. Management were also very helpful. Property I had was top floor (room 9) which had a balcony at the top corner. Balcony had views of the sea and pool. It caught the evening sun as well. Pool area is very clean and well kept with plenty of loungers for everyone and more. There were times when I had the pool to myself. It is also very peaceful. There is a short walk to the beach which was beautiful. Sun loungers are about 15 euros for 2 for the day but there are areas you could take your own towel if you wanted. The water is lovely and clear and the beach is soft sand including in the water. Alykes itself has plenty of restaurants but I didn’t use them. The highlight of the trip were the couple who run the poolside bar at Zante Dolphin - Fotis and Ioanna. They are wonderfully helpful, warm and friendly. The food they prepare is delicious and great portion sizes and they have plenty of drinks on offer. In reality if you wanted to completely relax you could just stay by the pool all day and have excellent food and drink. Only other things I did were use the beach a few times and took a boat trip round the island. I would highly recommend staying here.
