My family stayed here on a road trip. It was a great choice for a family stop. The staff were helpful, the room was great, and the pool was very helpful for my kids to burn off energy. I especially thought the breakfast was excellent.

Excellent. Clean, bed very comfortable, quiet. Only complaint was the extremely slippery bathtub/shower in a handicap-accessible room. Will stay here again.

Stayed here when we came for an event at Penn State Altoona. Not too far from campus, very clean, and great amenities! Staff is wonderful! We enjoyed the morning coffee and breakfast. Will definitely return! Hopefully during the student move-in timeframe!

This Fairfield is connected to a Townplace Suites, and in 2022 I wrote a review of the Townplace that concluded with "I'd likely stay here again if I was ever passing through Altoona," and on this day that proved to be true. Passing through from a different location and knew this was a reliable spot, and it didn't disappoint. One notable difference from the 2022 visit is that back then the EV charging was free, but now it's priced on the higher end of the L2 spectrum, and I was only able to get 3.3kW of charging rate out of it, so plan for an overnight charge to get where you're going. Everything functional about the hotel is what you'd want it to be for a stop through Altoona. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and there are a number of doordash options available. The front desk folks were friendly. We usually skip the free breakfast at hotels, but if I can leave you with any tip that you shouldn't ignore, it's load up on the Belgian waffles. They were BOMB. We had one and took one to go and ate it for dessert that night and wished we had stuffed our suitcases with them, ha! This will continue to be my stop in central PA when needed.
