Super 8 by Wyndham Altoona

We have stayed here frequently and find this a good hotel for the price. However, booking directly through the hotel website is less expensive than booking through Trip.com The rooms are fairly large, beds comfortable. Rooms have TVs, fridges and microwaves. Breakfast - meagre. Muffins, juice and tea/coffee! This was disappointing.

First room 207 had a flickering bathroom light and a urine smell, and the tv did not work, Clerk said he couldn't do anything about it. My husband suggested he relocate us which he did to room 209. There was a dried booger on the bathroom sink which I cleaned up while gagging. Room okay but neighbors in room 211 were banging around, then turned on TV at 1:30 am until 3:30 am at a LOUD volume - sounded like banging drums, or taps. I got two hours of sleep max. Walls are thin, lobby keeks from bad air freshener that does not mask cigarette smoke.

Very Disappointing Stay – low standard I had a very poor experience at this hotel. The room was not cleaned properly, and the washroom tap was loose and wobbly. The reception staff was extremely rude during check-in and refused to answer any questions, which made the experience even worse. The overall standard of the hotel was far below expectations — definitely not worth the price. Although breakfast was included, it consisted of nothing more than an old, pre-packaged muffin and a child-sized orange juice. I've never encountered such a low-quality breakfast offering before. I would strongly advise against staying at this property.

I will never go back to this hotel ever again. The rooms were filthy, they had an odor, the staff was uneducated of what was going on with their jobs at best. My family had to deal with the noise and the people who were actually living at the facility. I will be demanding a full refund.
