Having heard a couple of good recommendations decided to give this a try for impromptu dinner out with adult family. Warm welcome set the tone from the excellent waiting staff that was consistently good throughout the evening. Good standard pub fare menu. Lots of homemade claims which I was unfairly suspicious of until our food arrived. It definitely looked homemade and was really very good. We had a generous portion of sharing nacho to start three of us and perfect, plenty of topping. Ribs, lasagna and steak pie followed , all three were equally good. The ribs and lasagna were served with homemade chips and very fresh lovely salad. Dessert options sounded lovely but we were too stuffed this visit. The staff were so lovely, the right blend of attention without being in your face. Over the years this pub has had various reincarnations, often dubious so it is fantastic that at last we have a great new option much needed in our town. Good luck and well done- thank you, we will return.
