The place is fantastic—very peaceful and private, perfect for enjoying with the family. One tip: ask which dishes come with side items, because not all of them do.

First the positives: the setting is spectacular and the sense of peace and isolation is fantastic. We really enjoyed the chalet space and balcony listening to nature at nighttime. Watching the stars on a clear night was magical The suckling pig leg should not be missed and the cheesecake was delicious. The are some negatives however: we stayed in March and at nighttime the lack of insulation means it was cold at night, the mattress dipped in the middle which meant we constantly rolled into the centre of the bed. The living space is quite small if there is more than two of you.

We recently had the pleasure of spending three unforgettable nights at La Dehesa, nestled near Córdoba. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the captivating features that made our stay an exceptional experience. First and foremost, the location was a true gem. Situated just a short 40-minute drive from Córdoba, La Dehesa is among lush holm trees and picturesque olive groves in the distance. The tranquil setting provided us with a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, offering a harmonious blend of nature's beauty. The accommodation itself was a delightful surprise. The unique and original design resembled safari tents or cabins perched on stilts, allowing us to find ourselves amidst the treetops. This vantage point provided breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape—endless stretches of holm trees, grazing cows and sheep, and an endless expanse of blue skies. When night fell, the spectacle transformed into a stargazer's paradise, immersing us in the awe-inspiring wonders of the universe. This is glamping at its best. The cabins at La Dehesa have been thoughtfully designed with ample space and the essence of luxury camping in mind. Our “Imperial Suite” cabin featured a full bathroom. The cabin also boasted two distinct seating areas. One area allows you to savor the mesmerizing views while sinking into cozy easy chairs, while the other provides a comfortable sofa and a TV for entertainment. It's worth noting that the cabins include a convenient kitchenette, perfect for preparing snacks and light refreshments. However, please be aware that there are no cooking facilities available. But fear not, as the exceptional culinary offerings and well-stocked mini bar at La Dehesa ensure that you have a wide array of delicious options to enjoy during your stay. Additionally, the menu boasted a variety of local dishes, both meat and fish options, introducing us to culinary delights such as the remarkable "salmorejo" (a tantalizing tomato dip) and the equally spectacular "mazamorra" (dip made with almonds). Jorge, the owner, and a true gentleman, played a pivotal role in ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfection. His deep knowledge of the local area enhanced our exploration, and his unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction made us feel incredibly welcome. The entire team at La Dehesa mirrored his exceptional hospitality, radiating friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay. In every aspect, La Dehesa captured our hearts. It served as an idyllic retreat where we could unwind and bask in the tranquility of the Córdoban countryside. The refreshing plunge pool allowed us to cool off at our leisure, while the secluded cabins provided unparalleled privacy with their unique vistas, untouched by prying eyes.
