Hotel Sporting Club

I would rate it 4.5 but that option wasn’t available. After we read all the reviews we almost cancelled!!! as we weren’t sure it was going to be that good. I am so glad we didn’t. It’s absolutely fabulous. The accommodation is beautiful and absolutely spotlessly clean we had one double room and one apartment for three which has a Jacuzzi and terrace. we loved going to the bar for a drink in the evening whether it was before dinner or after dinner, the pool was beautiful. The beach was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful and bent over backwards. The cleaning staff were fantastic and all were Sicilian which was great(almost all Sicilian). The only reason I haven’t given five is because the menu in the Restaurant wasn’t quite up to scratch. We ate there five nights out of seven the pizzas were fantastic. The pasta was okay but there could’ve been a bit more finness to other dishes. Also, the choice was limited after four days. So I would Consider changing the menu on a Wednesday once a week so every week people who stay had more of an option. There is nowhere else to go so unless you drive somewhere you’re really stuck eating and staying there, which I said is fantastic as it has everything you need is a group of friends Bar and beach bar pool bar evening bar and Restaurant we just wanted more choice on the restaurant. The breakfast was fantastic fruit coffee, eggs, omelette, ham, cheese, salami, cake, croissant, yoghurt, toast, bread, sausage, hotdogs, just something to suet every nationality I think we loved it. There’s a snack bar next door which I think is part of the hotel which is great. We went to the hairdressers which is connected, I think to the hotel, we had a massage someone had a manicure. Massage was alright not great but okay. The manicure wasn’t good either, but that’s okay. You can put up with that when you’re on holiday. The beach beds were great. The pool beds were fantastic. The day beds around the pool were fantastic and we enjoyed having a drink before we left the pool in the evening between five and seven. There are lots of different nooks and crannies with different types of sunbeds hammocks daybeds round wicker chairs to sit which was really a nice touch . The only other downside was if you had an apartmso would have been easier for our friends in the hotel when they came to is. ent you had to walk down the road into the main hotel reception if they put an entrance up at the Restaurant it would’ve made life a bit easier. When I say you had to walk, it was like 400 m so not a lot, but it just would’ve made sense to have an entrance by the bar restaurant. It’s a big question. Would we go again? 100%? I would probably go to the supermarket and cook more as we all like to have wine in the evening so we would not have driven anywhere but we caught the train to Palermo (we drove to the train station) which was fantastic and one day we drove to Cefalu which was also fantastic so a really good position and great

Very rude service in all areas of the hotel . Reception was terrible - very hostile to English . Emailed 3 times ahead of our stay to ask about a restaurant and was ignored . Asked 3 times for an iron when we were staying and ignored. . Restaurant service was v poor . Given a scrappy piece of paper with menu . V rude staff who ignored us

Barely a one star hotel. No amenities on site or close by, no shop to buy essentials, snacks or anything else you might need/want. Restaurant overpriced & food inconsistent, one night fantastic - another barely edible. Staff shockingly rude, you’re made to feel like an inconvenience & that’s if you manage to get acknowledged. 5 staff members at the bar yet a 15 minute wait for acknowledgement? Not the mention despite being told the bar was open until 1am every night, it remained closed for 5/7 of our nights. €40 for a 7 minute taxi ride, hire a car if you really have to stay here. Really bad experience with one staff member, first night tried to replace a €30 bottle of wine with a €115 bottle. Rude throughout the stay acting as if we were a problem to him, explaining he was very tired and busy when asked if we could order drinks at the restaurant. Followed by slamming a wine bottle down on the table & shouting at one of our party. Do not recommend. Views are great.

A beautiful hotel around 20 lkilometers outside Palernmo so you'd need transport if you were to stay there. Very clean, rooms were excellent. Breakfast was good but could have been set out a little easier. Staff were helpful. The pool area is amazing.
