Teton Teepee Lodge

The Teton Teepee is a very unique and beautiful spot that I'm so happy we discovered. Dan and Alma have the true gift of hospitality. They have precise attention to detail, every need is anticipated and met, and they are a wealth of knowledge about the area. Beds are comfortable, multiple spots on the property to sit and relax, and friendly guests to chat with. You will be so happy you stayed here- we can't wait to return! PS- Dan knows all the great restaurants and activities, just ask for his recommendations!

Loved it!! Great place to stay! Lovely setting. Lovely center area. Very clean and neat. Great breakfast spread! Note the rooms have three steps down to enter. Definitely would recommend!

This place is even more beautiful and cozy than how it shows in photos. Alma was very kind and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable. The big hit here are the common areas (there are three) and the outdoor chairs by the river.

My review is based on my expectations. This property is definitely geared to a very specific guest profile. It was not a good fit for me. I was on a multi-week, multi-state motorcycle tour and looking for a luxury place to rest and rejuvenate. I have been to upscale ski lodges before; this was not that. I gave it an average rating because the lodge itself was attractive on the exterior with grounds that were quite beautiful. The community great room was well designed and comfortable. There is a lovely stream on property as well. These are the pros to this property. I had expected well appointed rooms with amenities, perhaps a gym, sauna, even an espresso kiosk or cafe in or nearby. The door to my room was extremely narrow approximately 24" like a small closet door. If you are a person of any proportions it would be a challenge to get into the room. There were several steps down into the small underlit room. So no mobility restricted guests should go here. No dresser, no art, no television and no view. The single window had blinds that malfunctioned. The bath fan rattled loudly and since attached to the light switch it was quiet and dark or light and noisy. I brought it to the attention of management but noting was done. There were no vending machines of any kind nor fridge. One had to bring your own beverages (except water from the tap) This is a good fit for someone wanting time to reflect on life, is a reader preclude. The closest cafe was town, some distance away on a rural road at a painful 35mph. I would NOT recommend this for anyone seeking a relaxing, elegant or pampered retreat.

We have stayed at the Teepee a handful of times and it keeps getting better and better. Perfectly located, immaculately clean, great breakfast and room to spread out. It is a great basecamp for adventure. Safe place to park the bikes, fridge to store hiking lunches, easy access to water and ice and room to stage gear. Coffee/ wine by the creek is the best. We love it here and are grateful for the stay! Be back soon!
