Room was not very clean, my pillow case was stained Instant coffee not the best for a stay - a proper coffee maker would have been nice - No maid service No working hair dryer 2 of the 3 lamps did not work Afternoon tea was not great - heavy deep fried options It was ok Treatments were. Very good Would have preferred the full menus since I paid for meals - some were ok. Other meals felt like they were microwaved

I will begin by recognizing that this is a family-run warm and welcoming resort and the service was personal and thoughtful. But there are sort of two extremes to the review, and I hope that the owners/management are able to use this information for a property with great potential. Pros: as mentioned, very lovely and kind service and the food was excellent, particularly the Indian food, which is a pleasant surprise in a sea of pasta and prime rib in small-town establishments. Very tasty! Room was spacious, bed was comfy, access to outdoors in a serene pastoral setting was lovely, walking trails pleasant and varied, shared spaces are also cozy and lovely with a beautiful patio overlooking the pastoral setting. Cons: some of these are easy to fix but are likely currently keeping people away. First, no in-room coffee other than instant. In my many years of travels to multiple continents I have only seen this in Africa and Asia - where people may drink tea more often, so they only have instant coffee in the rooms. I have never seen this even in the cheapest motel going so it was shocking, and not acceptable in a resort. There is also no coffee available in the lobby or lounge - only water. Along with an all-inclusive design, you are left to eat and drink when they tell you to, so this is frustrating. You cannot order room service or have a little muffin and latte in the afternoon - instead you go to high tea and drink as much brewed coffee as you can at breakfast. Re the services there are no RMTs so for many a splurge on a couple of days at a resort is more affordable when we can get reimbursed by our benefits plans, which is not possible. Also, the oil used felt like cooking oil with either no essential oil or too little to be noticed, and one service, Wellness Fusion Therapy, boasts multi-sensory, breathing...that facilitates inner healing" - it's a long massage. Lastly, as others have noted, there is no pool yet there is a massive property that would be perfect for it. So overall I think that their efforts are somewhat wasted due to not knowing their market - I can't speak for everyone, but if I go to a resort I want to get what I need when I need it (and easily), an RMT and high quality products. St. Anne's costs more, but they know their market and they are creating that experience. Best of luck to a super nice family (it was empty when I was there, so hoping that this feedback helps).

This hotel - spa is located on a isolated road and has quiet surroundings. Our room was large, the bed comfortable but all pillows were too large for the pillow cases and hard. The reception staff was courteous but did not tell us important information such as breakfast time and most significantly, that we needed to place the card on the door to indicate that we wanted to room to be cleaned. As it was winter, our outdoor shoes left dirt and salt residue on the entrance floor which led to the closet and bathroom. We had assumed that like other hotels, cleaning would be done every day unless we had specified otherwise. Breakfast was good and the service efficient. Unfortunately, the price was set to high for comparable hotels.

The room and facilities are out-dated and require updating to match the cost of the rooms. It is nice that the dinner and breakfast were included, the food was good but I won’t return because of the rooms. I didn’t even use the resort amenities…just wasn’t appealing enough.

A spa on a beautifully kept ground. A gem away from the city. Very relaxing. Large size rooms.
