A fantastic Hotel with beautiful sea views. We have a room with private pool which is lovely, it’s modern and simplistic which is perfect in my opinion! The shower is great and plenty of space for 2. Separate toilet room with the wash basin just outside the door. The room is spacious with double bed, sofa and has a small fridge. The patio is a nice 3m x 3m size with 2 Sun loungers, a coffee table, 2 chairs and accompanying side table. The single private pool is about 3m x 2m and 1.4m deep. And all has spectacular sea views! The Hotel has a gym (free) , sauna, massage and spa at an extra charge. The main pool which also overlooks the sea is perfect and has the sun on it all day with a number of sunbeds. The only downside to the hotel is the food. Admittedly I’m a very fussy eater however my wife has a much better palate and is in agreement that the food is a massive letdown. The breakfast is the same every day with not a lot of choices. You get Tea or Coffee (Black) and have to borrow milk from the cereal section. The bar snack menu isn’t great and the food not very enjoyable. There is no evening restaurant which is a massive shame because of the fantastic views form the hotel, so you have to go down the the beach front which isn’t a bad thing, in fact is a saving grace because there is lot of choices and some fantastic food plus everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Prices are very reasonable and you sit virtually on the waters edge. Their is also plenty of little shop for your everyday needs. Almyrida is an absolute gem of a place to stay! We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back!

We loved our stay at the Blue Elephant. The property itself is lovely, with a lovely pool that has a gorgeous view, the rooms are spacious with everything you need. We had a shared plunge pool and loved it. We never saw our neighbours with whom we shared it. The staff were also fantastic, with a special shout out to Kostas, Emiliano and George at the pool restaurant and bar area. Penny at reception was also very helpful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and lovely. There were only a few things on the very small con list and that is while the breakfast buffet was great, it was exactly the same everyday, no variarion at all and the milk area was kept out in a fairly warmish area - if they'd put the milk in ice that would be great! But honestly, those were small things. The town of Almyrida is so lovely, with everything in walking distance. Lots of great restaurants with friendly and lovely employees and delicious food. Just note that if you have a mobility impairment, there is a fairly steep hill from the main drag to the hotel. It would not be an easy walk to get up. We will definitely be back. It's one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed at.

The most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in! Everything was so clean and the view from the room, pool and the restaurant was amazing. Hotel breakfast was fresh and delicious, and staff were always helpful and friendly. Room cleaning service was also very quick. The location is very good, only 5minute walk to the beach and the restaurants. And bus-stop to chania is also nearby. I warmly recommend, if you want a luxurious and relaxing holiday.

Points positifs : chambre spacieuse - magnifique vue sur la mer depuis la chambre et depuis n’importe quel endroit - jolie terrasse - pas trop mal situé - bon petit déjeuner - belle piscine - belle salle de sport - hôtel très propre (nous avons aimé le fait que les télécommandes soient notifiées comme nettoyées à l’arrivée) - wifi bon - 2 membres du personnel en particulier sont supers : Kostas du petit déjeuner et la jeune femme de la réception qui nous a accueilli le soir (celle qui faisait sa deuxième saison à l’hôtel). Tous deux dynamiques, très gentils et souriants. Merci à vous deux, vous êtes parfaits avec les clients! Points négatifs : notre douche n’avait pas beaucoup de pression, signalé deux fois, mais sans retour - dans la douche se trouve des jets massants, mais ne fonctionnait pas. Également signalé, mais aucun retour de fait - déco de la chambre pas terrible, assez froid mais c’est une question de goût - pas de restaurant le soir - lorsqu’un client visite la crête toute la journée et qu’il souhaite ensuite aller à la piscine en rentrant à l’hôtel ou aller à la salle de sport, et bien ce n’est pas possible car tous deux ferment à 18h! Je comprends qu’il y ait des règles mais là c’est vraiment ridicule. Ça n’a aucun sens! Donc nous ne pouvions jamais profiter de la piscine ni de la salle de sport en fin de journée pour se détendre. C’est un comble et une grande frustration! Surtout qu’une personne est présente en réception jusque minuit pour surveiller au cas où. Donc il n’y a aucune raison valable pour interdire ces accès aux clients. Malheureusement à cause de cela, nous ne reviendrons pas.

A great boutique hotel a couple of minutes from the beach. The staff were all charming and the rooms kept very clean. We only eat breakfast as there are so many restaurants in the town, but breakfast overlooking the bay of Souda is special, as are the hotel views. Don’t want to say too much more as we will be going back!

Prima, maar we zouden geen 2keer gaan. De foto’s van de website kwamen niet geheel overeen met de werkelijkheid omtrent het zicht. Bij sommige kamers kijken de mensen uit het restaurant recht in je kamer.zwembad open tss 10u en 18u savonds.
