It was midnight when we checked in, and the whole hotel was gloomy and solemn, with a castle-style decoration style.
Facilities: complete, no slippers, toothbrushes, and everything else.
Hygiene: great.
Environment: The location is remote, but quiet enough.
Service: The room card is invalid twice. As soon as I arrived, I dragged my luggage and ran to the front desk twice.

Op 21 december jl. een overnachting geboekt in de Royal White Suite (een grote kamer met wellness gedeelte). Bij de incheck was de klantvriendelijkheid al ver te zoeken. Waarschijnlijk wou de medewerkster naar huis want een gastvrij onthaal zat er niet in. Na het opzoeken van de kamer (nr. 101) een leuk kaartje op bed aangetroffen met de tekst: "Geniet van uw fles prosecco!". Wij op zoek naar de fles prosecco...... uiteindelijk naar de receptie gelopen om te vragen waar ik de kaart kon inwisselen... Dit bleek een foutje te zijn van de housekeeping. En nu? Niks... jammer.. foutje.. en door. Toen bleek de minibar kapot te zijn. Direct maar weer een melding gemaakt bij de receptie. "Er komt zo iemand langs".... de volgende dag bij het uitchecken maar aangegeven dat die 'iemand' nog steeds langs moest komen want wij hebben niemand gezien. Toen het bubbelbad laten vollopen, ohja... dit wel nadat wij zelf nog even een doek erdoor hebben gehaald en de nagellak van de bodem hebben geschraapt. De housekeeping had hier beter ook geen foutje gemaakt ;) Bij de uitcheck ook direct aangegeven dat wij niet tevreden zijn geweest met het hele verblijf. Niet het standaard wat wij gewend zijn bij een van der Valk hotel. Na wat navraag zouden wij bij een volgend bezoek het ontbijt cadeau krijgen. Wij zouden hiervan nog een email krijgen. De dag erna zelf nog maar eens een bericht gestuurd naar het hotel waar de bevestiging blijft... "Mijn collega's gaan u nog mailen". We zijn nu bijna een week verder en de bewuste email blijft nog steeds op zich wachten. Al met al hebben wij nu de keuze gemaakt om hier nooit meer naar terug te keren en onze ervaring hier te delen. Via deze weg hopen wij dat iemand van het hotel dit serieus oppakt en hiermee aan de slag gaat. Je zou toch meer verwachten als gasten de duurste kamer van je hotel boekt en ze dan zo afscheept zonder enige nazorg.. beschamend gewoon! Wij verbleven op 21 december 1 nacht in kamer 101. Wij zien wel wat hiermee gedaan gaat worden, de verwachtingen zijn niet hoog gesteld in ieder geval. Al met al.. doe als lezer je voordeel met deze review; ik zou echt uitwijken naar een andere van der Valk vestiging!
