Charming historic stay at Hundith Hill Hotel in Whitehaven - recently converted, still showing signs of being under redevelopment but full of character. Room clean with high-quality bedding (though bed too soft); bathroom functional but some elements a bit worn. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Recommended!

Just spent 2 nights at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Looking forward to seeing it after the renovations take place. A throughly enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

What a fabulous wedding we had, fabulous hotel, location, food, everything great about it. Waiting on staff brilliant and attentive and Barry the wedding organiser was fab. Such a shame we can’t say it about the owner…..obnoxious, very unprofessional man…..we had a few minor complaints with bedroom issues and payment of rooms…which shouldn’t have happened as wedding had been planned for nearly 3 years…but because he didn’t like what we were saying….told us you’ve had your day now get over it it and went on to say we were a horrible family and had much nicer quests to attend to!!!!

we where down as a family for a wedding,reception male was rude and unhelpful not a good first impression. asked about dinner told better make it quick ! it was 7 pm we then waited 45 min to be seated 😳my dad drink dark rum they had non asked if any chance of getting some in for the wedding the next day told NO….can we buy some and pay corkage ….NO. to be fair the food was lovely and very reasonable for a hotel the room was small dark added light bulbs out and very hot but it was exceptional hot weather .room was very clean . bit smelly right above the kitchen. the wedding itself was fantastic staff very helpful & food was amazing .the setting and grounds gorgeous it’s a shame first impressions not good i think the man it’s t suited to hospitality industry.

A lovely tea was prepared. They provided a great service especially when more guests attended than originally planned. There was service with a smile and no complaints. Teas and coffees were refilled on request and no stress was caused as the service staff were polite and organised.

Helpful friendly staff, comfortable room.
Very good breakfast included in the price, with sea views from the breakfast room. The shower controls were a little stiff and difficult to operate but quality soft towels
compensated. Would have appreciated net curtains to allow light into the room, whilst maintaining privacy. Overall would definitely recommend.
