What a beautiful place with friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. The bedrooms were so comfortable, clean and decorated well. The garden was gorgeous. We sat outside as it was a sunny day. There was a guy making pizzas too, which we thought was a fab idea. The food was amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Not sure if my review has been received, have got a few problems with my tablet. If not here it is again. Arrived back home yesterday after a 3 night stay. Room excellent, food excellent, staff were lovely and the hosts William and Katrina made us very welcome. This little gem was found by my husband on the internet and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We will certainly be visiting again. Gillian and Michael

This was a great place to stay as we visited our family. William is a great host and greeted us on arrival. The pub supports local farmers in the area which was great to see. The room was very very comfortable and quiet. We had dinner there with family and the food was amazing as well as the breakfast. Definitely recommend and will visit again during our next vacation to the area.

Excellent stay at the Allanton Inn. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Meals (breakfast and dinner) utilised local produce and were of very high quality. Welcoming and friendly staff, lovely country pub with nice beer garden. We would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit this area of the Borders.

After a long road trip and some slightly dubious accommodation in the previous three weeks, it was a delight to arrive at the Allanton Inn, our base while we visited relatives nearby. Our bedroom in the front was beautifully arranged, immaculately clean and with adequate space for our (large) suitcases. The shower room was equally perfectly maintained and functional. We enjoyed the decor and the everything clearly managed with care and attention. Dinner and breakfast downstairs were both outstanding, making best use of local produce to produce delicious meals. We would have no hesitation in going back to the Inn in future.

A charming and buzzing place to stay. Very comfortable bed and well equipped ensuite. Excellent dinner and really impressive breakfast selection with homemade conserves and all produce sourced locally wherever possible. Highly recommended.

Just had a lovely meal athe Allanton Inn. Everyone had lamb which was excellent and so tender. Potatoes were to due for. We have high standards when it comes to food and were impressed. Only thing to improve would be bigger portion size as not much lamb given but it was still really good.
